Alioops, my hay fever is really bad this year too. I am taking a one a day loratadine tablet and it does seem to help a bit but still not great. I think the pollen count is REALLY high at the moment
I had a horrid experience last night for the first time...started getting really nasty heartburn at about 4pmas yet it has not bothered me too much. It was weird because it wasn't after eating or anything. It made me feel thoroughly miserable all evening though I was popping Rennies like they were going out of fashion. I ended up eating some dinner at about 9pm to see if it would help but then was sick
after that I have not had any heartburn. Weird! Hope it was just a one off. It was not a fun and glamorous way to spend a Friday night!
Anyone got any nice plans this weekend?0 -
lilmiss we had thunderstorms up here in Bolton on Tuesday night. It's the first time in 8 years that a thunderstorm here has even come close to a West Australia storm and it made me homesick lol. It's amazing what will set me off at the moment.
AFM really struggling with my shoulder at the moment. Since conceiving my right shoulder has hurt when I'm putting on my bra, reaching behind me, shifting down the bed etc but the last couple of days omg it's hurting just sitting and doing nothing luckily I've got my 20 week scan on Monday so am definitely going to bring it up with the midwife.
Anyone else really suffering with hayfever this year? It might be that I'm taking all of my usual medications and am taking a one a day tablet but I'm not getting any relief whatsoever.
I've been reading but can't remember much so have a great day ladies and enjoy the lovely weather.
Ah, I spent 4 weeks in Perth in WA in 2010 (just before meeting DH). Would have gone back to live for a year if not for him
Funny you say that I had bad right shoulder pain a couple of weeks ago but it went off after a few days.
Also a big YES to hayfever. Woken up in the night with streaming nose and eyes. Yesterday didn't even want to cook dinner, just lie quietly and feel sorry for self and that's with a loratidine I'm allowed to take.
Grass pollen this time of year apparently.Met DH to be 2010

Ah boo daisiegg. I had tummy ache last week like I hadn't eaten, although I had, so assumed it was indigestion. Not looking forward to the return of that business.
PS angelt treates has posted on the big girl thread about diarrhoea as she has a 2.5 hour journey  on a bus in Spain. If you have any ideas please share!
AFM we are meeting my borther and Dad around 1pm for lunch at wags (belated bday for bro who is same day as DH in May), checking the brit heart foundation for cheap and cheerful chest of drawers for baby and spent morning getting quotes for home isurance and checking lists to see what else we need to buy for baby
Quiet evening then off to see Dad at his house for a BBQ, lounge in the garden and perhaps another swim
PPS Went for a swim yesterday and I really can't swim and sneeze. In fact sneezed so much yesterday managed to pull that round ligament but it has settled again. Grrr, I am sexy!Met DH to be 2010

Oh I forgot to say. Had my 24 week mw appointment yesterday and came out of it feeling rubbish. I am just so sick of feeling like the care I am getting this pregnancy is just cr*p. I won't bore you with all the details but it was useless. I am trying to comfort myself with the fact that what is important is that I am ok (blood pressure and urine were fine) and baby girl is ok (good heartbeat). But it is really not what I expected. I am so silly and hormonal at the moment that I came out and cried. As usual! It's weird because I have never had any bad experiences with the NHS before and always felt quite positively towards the system, defending it when others moaned etc. Now I have experienced how truly rubbish it can be and it is really disappointing.
Never mind! My girly has been ridiculously active this week, it is lovelyLast night I was lying on the sofa and I rested my ipad on my tummy and she kept trying to kick it off!
Anyone got anything for the daddy-to-be for fathers' day tomorrow? I got a card from funkypigeon with the scan pic on, and some chocolates and some tiny socks that say 'I love daddy' (couldn't resist). He didn't get me anything for mother's day but to be fair that was much, much earlier. I don't feel like it is such a big deal to wait for next year to be his first 'proper' father's day as he is already a dad so has already had that years ago.0 -

Hmm, this bump picture may or may not work. Not very techno savvy. Seeing as I always enjoyed everyone else's seems only fair to share also!
Daisiegg if you want to share the details I wouldn't find it boring. Equally stuff 'em and if you just want to leave it behind, do.
Lovely that she's active! I do find the movement side the most enjoyable part to date.
I got a card on mothering Sunday so he will get that back plus a meal of his choice luckily is bbq so works out going to see my dad!Met DH to be 2010

Oh what a gorgeous bump! You look fab!
I think I will post about the mw later...people can skim over it if it is boring lol! But right now my mum is about to take me out pram shopping. She is even bringing me a sandwich to eat in the car as I have been sick this morning and didn't fancy any of the food I have in for lunch. Love her!0 -
Lovely bump Lilmiss! If I can work out how I'll post mine, but suspect it is too technical for me. Sorry you are not getting a good experience daisie, can you move to another hospital or is there somewhere else nearby? My experience has been mostly +ve so far (except the peeps who misdiagnosed the baby with a condition it never had.) Scan ladies and specialist mw have been fab, normal mw ok so far. Think at my next app I will meet my named mw, I am really hoping she is nice!
We're doing the garden this w/e, it's such a state and all our (mostly retired) neighbours have lovely gardens. I swear they must hate us! In side the plastering is all finished! Will start painting when back from hols. Go on Monday, can't wait!
Happy weekends ladies! X0 -
Yay for a good scan Sewit!
Sympathy for all the aches and pains, hayfever & heartburn ladies! My sickness has reduced a lot, but I've had 3 sleepless nights this week, which I think is because I'm stressing about moving house. I'm normally very calm, take things in my stride and am a good sleeper, but it's all been too much for me this week.
Today our buyer pulled out, well didn't even have the courtesy to actually withdraw her offer. She'd had her offers accepted on two properties, and lied to our agent that she was only pursuing ours, when she had actually decided on the other one. So she wasn't planning to tell us at all, and we're merrily looking for houses with ours listed as SSTC. Little toerag!
Anyway, lots of housework to do today, and get our house shipshape to be back on the market on Monday. Our agent had listed it as "immaculate" and it's currently more "bombsite."0 -
Boo timeflies, that is a really sh*tty thing to do. Her bad karma will come around to her eventually. Hope you get a good buyer asap! X0
-
Yes DH had to help me work out how to do it - glad it worked and thanks for the compliments (22+5)
Timelifes - what a terrible thing for her to do
