Thanks for all the welcomes ladies

Tink - sorry to hear that you are still bleeding, am glad though that the hospital do seem to be monitoring it carefully though.

Mrs C - hope you are having a great holiday! Could I ask how far along you are in your pregnancy? Before I got pregnant we booked to go Gran Canaria as well for the end of July, have been before so know its going to be hot, but now wondering if it will be unbearable as I will be 20 weeks by then

Timeflies - its great being able to tell people at last.

Hugs Peonie for feeling a bit sad, I imagine its something you will always think of.

Sorry to anyone who I have overlooked

I expect this question has been asked before, but where is the best place for maternity clothes at reasonable prices? I am quite short, and bought a great pair of trousers from New Look in 28" leg, but they don't seem to carry the same stock when it comes to things like jeans. I broke the zip on my normal jeans last week!! Hoping it is just bloating at this stage else I am going to be massive by the end. Thanks ladies

Hi Tia, thanks and sorry I can't help. I'm at the other end of the height problem and find it difficult to find clothes long enough.

For new and cheap try Primarni, New L00k and H+M.

Tia, I was 21+2 on flying out and will land back at 22+3. We flew from Manchester and it's a 4.5 hour flight from there. I did find it uncomfortable (my longest flight in 6 years) but just kept getting up and wandering about. Flight socks on for the 2.5 hour drive before and I kept them on for the 45 min bus aswell. Will do the same for coming home. I then have a 4 hour minimum drive on Sunday and then we fly out to Italy on Monday aswell!
Not sure what the temperature will be like at the end of July but plenty fluids and keep cool and plenty shade is my advice.

    Thanks for the welcomes :)

Hope you're having a great holiday MrsC

How is the house hunting going runmichellerun? I've viewed 5 now, and have pre-booked to see one coming on the market on Monday, which sounds lovely. I keep getting over-excited before I see houses though, then disappointed when they're not quite right. My OH has never bought a house before so I think he'll be reticent to take the plunge and put an offer in!

Hugs Peonie, I'm sure it's a tough day to get through, but lovely to think you have a little one on the way now.

Glad you're feeling more energetic loveactually. I've been getting half days and three quarter days with no sickness, which is good :)

Any luck with clothes shopping tia86? I'm guessing most places only sell maternity wear online.
  • Hugs Peonie. Must be a tough day regardless of how happy current situation is. Xxx

Tia, primark did short leg maternity jeans when i was in there. The lengths were 30, 32 and 34. Not sure if they did a shorter length than 30 though... I've had a couple of pairs of underbump jeans from there and they're pretty comfy.

I hope PM starts a new run on the 12+ thread- the ladies there are due a run of good luck. I still miss some of them (there's a few who weren't on there when I was), especially code and tea.

Tia - new look do mat jeans in a 28 leg but you are best to get them on line. They do free delivery over £45 I think, or free click n' collect over £20. I just got their super soft skinny under bump jeans. Very comfy and only £23. I did get some over bump ones but took them back as will be a long while till I fill them and feel i will get more wear out the under bump ones iyswim? H&M is also good, but their jeans are more expensive.

Hugs Peonie - I agree that you will always feel a bit sad. Take time to remember your loss. X

AFM - 20 week scan today, all looks well! Baby not happy to be photographed so not got great photos but never mind. Baby was in a curled up position so couldn't have told sex even if we had wanted to! Feet were right up by its head!

Sorry for lack of personals and 'thanks' - am on phone so tricky to scroll back and thanks buttons not showing for some reason. Hugs ladies. Xxxx

Next do 'short' length maternity jeans and they are fab. They fit me at under 5ft!
  • All my mat clothes were from ebay/lent from friends. However pre pg I would have gone for next trouser leg fitting.

    Sewit :T for your scan.

Peonie - sorry to hear about your mc and bad day as a result. :(

My goodness me we had a cracking thunder storm last night. Woke us up at 12.15 and kept going till 1am. I don't remember one like that since a child. The lightening lit up the room, every house turned its lights on (apart from us it seems!) and people were coming out of their houses to look and take pictures.

Timeflies and RMR - good luck with the house hunting. I think it's a bit like pg - you have an idea of what the end will look like, it involves lots of effort, to-ing and fro-ing before finding one that's right and when it does all work out you look back and think you'd never do it again but before you know it....

 to the newbies, welcome to the mad house :D

With regards to mat jeans, I picked up a couple of pairs of over bumps from Peacocks. They actually them in store so tried on every pair they had until I found a couple that were comfy. I'm a shorty too was pleasantly surprised to find that the length was spot on as well.

lilmiss we had thunderstorms up here in Bolton on Tuesday night. It's the first time in 8 years that a thunderstorm here has even come close to a West Australia storm and it made me homesick lol. It's amazing what will set me off at the moment.

AFM really struggling with my shoulder at the moment. Since conceiving my right shoulder has hurt when I'm putting on my bra, reaching behind me, shifting down the bed etc but the last couple of days omg it's hurting just sitting and doing nothing luckily I've got my 20 week scan on Monday so am definitely going to bring it up with the midwife.

We're heading off to Cheshire Oaks today for something different, hoping to pick up some proper maternity bras that get fitted and are cheap plus am needing some crop pants as my 'fat' ones just aren't doing up anymore thanks to bump yay.

Anyone else really suffering with hayfever this year? It might be that I'm taking all of my usual medications and am taking a one a day tablet but I'm not getting any relief whatsoever.

I've been reading but can't remember much so have a great day ladies and enjoy the lovely weather.
