If we have another girl we are sorted as have kept everything from dd2 if not it will be a massive sale to replace with boy stuff!!
We start at 0-3 but had to get new born as dd2 lost so much birth weight we ended up in special care :(.
I think 0-3 is a good place to start and shops do vary a lot in their sizing ...

Daisi - how are you doing ???

MrsC - any final plans made for the holiday ?

    Take care all xxx

Haven't bought a thing for baby yet. We're trying to sell our (very small) house and have nowhere to put new things.

OH's Dad and Step Mum have bought us a pram which they're keeping at their place currently.

Trying not panic that we have less than 6 months to go and there's nothing here for baby.

Don't panic! 6 months is plenty of time. The earlier you start buying things, the more [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] possibly unnecessary things you will buy.

The essentials can probably be bought in a day - by your partner if necessary.

Quick update from me. 20 week scan version 2 was lovely today. Really chatty scanning lady who told us what she was looking at. Saw all the missing bits from last week - face, lip, heart, lungs, lenses (wow - I mean how tiny must baby's eye lenses be!), and all the bits of the brain that needed to be seen.

I came very close to fainting though! I was lying there being pressed quite hard and then suddenly I was seeing black spots which were coming in from the side. My hearing started to fade and I felt nauseous. I tried to get through it as I knew she was nearly finished, but then said something and was told to quickly sit up. Just too long on my back must have blocked the main vein. I'd read about that happening in bed if you sleep on your back, but never experienced it. Very disorienting. Cleared very quickly, but it was a bit of a shock.

In work now for a lazy afternoon. Looking forward to a quiet weekend.

T2D - So pleased your scan went well if the lying on your back experience must have been distressing xxx

Oh t2d glad second scan went well :) we have our second 20 week scan on Tuesday though it is just the heart that they need to see. I am hoping it's all ok. Her heartbeat was certainly nice and strong when I was all strapped in at the foetal assessment unit yesterday, though she hated the monitor and kept trying to kick it off!

Has anyone got to have a glucose tolerance test? I was told at booking in that I need to have one at 28 weeks due to a high BMI, and I had a request form thing in my notes that they filled out at the booking in appointment and told me to keep hold of and then use to book the test nearer the time.

Well, when I was at the maternal and foetal assessment unit yesterday they took my notes and had them for ages. When I got them back I looked at them when I got home, and they had organised everything and stapled in all my scan reports etc in order, which is fine, but I have combed through the pack three times and can't find that request form for the GTT. I don't know whether it has fallen out or something, though it seems strange for it to have gone missing as they have meticulously organised everything else (I am sure half the time I was waiting in the waiting room must have been because someone was attacking my notes with a hole punch and treasury tags lol). Weird!

Does anyone know if I can book the test without a request form? This is a silly thing to be worrying about and I am not really worried, just unsure...

I'm due one for being old, and probably high BMI but she was too polite to tick that box! The midwife booked it for 28 weeks. Maybe give them a call?

Ah but that would necessitate my usual 'who the heck do I call?!' issue! :rotfl: I have a mw appt at 24 weeks, I will ask then but wonder if it will be too late to book for 28 weeks?
