Mrs C the whole holiday situation is terrible. Of course they would have no qualms with re-selling your holiday as a last minute deal and profiting twice. Really hope your solution works out. Sounds like you all, including your stepson, could really use a nice holiday.
So I have a moses basket (she was given two), a car seat (from her brother but it's never been in an accident - do you think I should use it or get a new one anyway?)
I told my husband that my friend had given us a moses basked. He asked "does it have a lid?" :rotfl: I was lost for words! No idea what he thought the lid was for - shutting out crying noise/bad smells maybe? :T
Oh and I'm going to an NCT nearly new sale with some workmates next weekend so might pick up a few bits there, I feel like it's far too early to be buying much stuff though. I don't even have much of a bump yet let alone a baby any time soon!
I know what you mean I can only get on in the evening and now we can keep our eyes open in the evening everyone is posting more rather than sleeping! I am now trying to answer when i see them so I don't forget by the end what was said at the beginning
Mrs C agree with angel treats and hope this works out for all of you.
We are re-using a car seat but very much down to personal choice of course.
:rotfl: laughed out loud about the mosees basket lid! Had to show DH and was reassured that he got it too!
I haven't been to a NCT nearly new sale but someone from pg yoga went. They are not NCT members so had to go in an hour after the members, the parking was mad and a lot of stuff went really quickly. Imagine they are all different.Met DH to be 2010

Welcome Chickpea! It sure sounds like a hell of journey to get here so i hope the pg compensates by being a smooth ride. You may already know but we are a chatty lot on here...
t2d - fabulous! Has been one of the highlights for sure getting to that stage.
Mrs C - you have a stubborn one there! But yay if it means early finish for holiday.

hi all, today I look like the lady who ate all the pies! so I guess you could say that my tummy has really popped out, and tonight it's been hard as a rock. I was also getting a serious kicking whilst at work, could even feel them from the outside which I don't often feel.
Having to educate OH with baby sizes in clothes, I've been buying 0-3's or 3-6's where I've seen good things in the sales, but on Tuesday he bought something in newborn which is ok as it looks a good size, but today he bought something which was tiny baby. obviously we won't know how big our little girl will be when she comes out but I can't see her being that small if she makes it to full term, so he's been sent back to swap it for 0-3. We'll get him there on baby sizes before she comes along
what sizes have you been buying (if you've already started buying)?0 -
Same as you. I have some new baby things which came in ebay bundles.Met DH to be 2010

0-3 same as you lilmiss, I figured if it's small it will grow into them but doesn't work the other way.

I've bought a few 'first size' outfits that fit up to 9 lbs (please don't be bigger than that baby!) the rest are 0-3 and some 3-6. Because we're staying team yellow i'm loathe to buy lots as i don't want loads of white/ cream/ beige things...0

My mum told me to buy 0-3 months last time as me and my sister were big babies and my poor dd was swamped when born but was no problem to quickly buy a few vests and sleep suits . I wouldn't buy too much of the small stuff though as pointless if baby too big . So hard to know!
On the car seat we use a second hand one from sil and as I know it's not been in an accident it's fine.0 -
Haven't bought a thing for baby yet. We're trying to sell our (very small) house and have nowhere to put new things.
OH's Dad and Step Mum have bought us a pram which they're keeping at their place currently.

I've got almost everything now. I just need a baby bath, maybe a travel cot and some toys.
I'm glad because my money has gone down now so were living on a very tight budget until I get maternity allowance.0
