hi all, sorry some of you have been going through it.

We had our 20 week scan part 2 (at 23 weeks) yesterday and the little darling was slightly better behaved. Moved from lying side to side to now being breach, but I know there's plenty of time for her to move. But she did think it would be 'fun' to kick my bladder whilst I was waiting to go in for the scan. I did get sent to go for a wee part way through as baby's heart was directly behind my belly button, but all missing measurements were taken and we're team pink. Which is what my hubby has been insisting we were since day one. :)
Have to admit as I was with my mum we went shopping on the way home, and I now have a coming home dress for the baby :)

furbaby is now back to being as bouncy as ever. Still got her cut to heal and stitches to come out but you would never know anything had happened.

I was thinking that wendz, but it kind of offsets all the recent babies in my offline life, 6 boys since end of Jan that I know of and only one girl!

My DH's Dad has 7 granddaughters so far and one more due in sept so we would be shocked if we were having a boy.

WTDN - how was you scan?
    Daisie - any more news?
Mrs C - what age is a child these days? It's crazy that is he not allowed to share with you. If you don't mind why should they. Esp if they still get the money for an adult.

Exactly! And it's a 1 bed apartment aswell!

MrsC how rotten - if it goes nowhere is it worth writing to a newspaper? Sometimes they can get you the money no one else can. We did this in a probate case and it worked.

Hmmmm.....never thought of that one! Just talking to my mum and I think that if we do need to cancel and we aren't getting anywhere with them we will cancel it on the morning of travel so that they can't sell the holiday to anyone else and get double the money!
Apologies to anyone that this might do out of a holiday but it's a matter of principle!

Time for me to chill out, 20 week scan tomorrow. Half way there, eek!

Evening ladies. All so busy! Sorry the stress continues daisie. Can't offer much advice but am thinking of you.

Good to see you wtdn! And congrats on all the new team pinks. :)

Hope you find a solution mrsc. Must be hard dealing with such unexpected issues. Hugs.

All quiet with me. Having some stomach issues but also starting to feel baby more to which is nice. Now I'm more confident it is the baby I think I have been feeling it for a while. Really feels different to how I expected - much like everything about this pregnancy.

I'm now having a nap every day. I don't know how I survived without them in the past! Even twenty minutes makes a world of difference. My baby centre app us telling me I should have lots of energy and have put on about 4.5 kilos. In tempted to stop reading it!

Ok I am finally home from the hospital!

Not sure where I left it when I posted earlier. Basically I called the EPU who said I was too far on to see them and should go to A&E. I wanted to avoid that if at all possible so I phoned my GP.

She saw me straight away and was really good. Blood pressure was very low as usual but pulse rate was high and she did not know why. She found baby's heartbeat on the Doppler. While I was there she phoned the Maternal and Foetal Assessment Unit at the hospital and explained to them, and they told her to send me in.

So....I went there...and they saw me and said they only see ladies from 22 weeks and as I am 21+6 today I had to go to A&E! Despite the fact I was 6 hours away from being 22 weeks! Which was something I wanted to avoid. Appears that at my stupid hospital there is a gap of a few weeks between when the EPU sees you and when the Maternal and Foetal Assessment Unit sees you.

So.....trudged down to A&E. Hubby met me from work. Was feeling thoroughly fed up and wishing I had just ignored it and gone about my day. Saw a doctor who didn't seem worried, then saw a gynae doctor who also didn't seem worried, but then she did an internal examination and said there was lots of bleeding up by my cervix and she was worried and wanted me to wait and be seen by a more senior doctor, who was performing a C Section at that moment.

So back to the waiting room...then got called in again by the junior gynae doctor who said that given my history of placenta previa she had spoken to the senior doctor and they would probably want to admit me overnight! By which point I was REALLY wishing I had never left my house.

Anyway all is well that ends well because I eventually saw the more senior doctor, she also examined me, and said I have a polyp on my cervix that is causing the bleeding. I need to go back for a scan and a consultation tomorrow but she was happy for me to come home :D yay!

I am quite relieved because I know baby is fine and I finally know what has been causing the bleeding, since my placenta had supposedly moved so it should not have been that. Apparently polyps are very common in pregnancy because of the increase in oestrogen. It must have appeared over the last couple of weeks because I had an internal exam when I bled at 17 weeks and it wasn't there then.

So anyway...I am home...NOT spending the night in the hospital...and will get a call tomorrow with a time to go in for a scan and a proper consultation. Feel knackered now and probably need another 12 hours of sleep tonight!

She also said I will probably bleed again and anytime I bleed I have to go to the hospital. So....chances are today will not be the last time. But at least I am 22 weeks tomorrow so after that the MFAU will see me!

Hope, everyone is ok, sorry not to catch up,on personals, am knackered and need food and sleep now xx
