TCD, my sister had naming so for all of hers and to be honest I found it a load of flowery p**h and it was just an excuse for them to have a party.
Neither myself or my husband are active in the church (church of scotland). We didn't get married in church but we did have a blessing but he minister in a neutral location. We do still go to church on occasion for special occasions and the minister here is hilarious at the remembrance service last year he produced a pack of jelly babies and started eating them before telling us a story about how they've been around since war time and were all originally yellow and we're called peace babies. He had us all in stitches on a few occasions.
One side of my family is catholic and my thoughts there are another story that I'm not going into. If we do anything it will be by the local minister but in the house and I want to make sure that if anything happens to us there will be no fighting over baby as it will already be decided by us who will be the guardians even though not decided by law. We could always go down another route for that and make a will and have it in there but not sure I want to make that stipulation.....No longer ...tobe! Happy Saturday everyone!
We had a crazy storm at around 5.30am that woke me up. Baby girl was clearly awake too as she was going mental in there and I just lay in bed with my hands on my tummy feeling her move and kick for ages....it felt amazing. Really special moment!
The decorator is here doing her room - I am so excited. He got here really early but my lovely sister let him in and sorted him out as she was up studying at 6.30am anyway, so I am still in bed. Ought to get up soon though! Only had about 6 hours of sleep last night which is not enough for me these days, so will probably need a nap later.
No blood this morning, hopefully yesterday was just a fluke0 -
Aww that is lovely Daisy. I can't wait till i can feel movement. Exciting about the nursery being decorated.
DD woke me up at 5.30 so feels like i have been up hours already. We have already been to the shop and waiting for my mum to come now and think we will go out somewhere.0 -
Morning!
Late night for me last night, was t asleep til about 1am and then my body decided 5.50 was a good time to wake me. Not impressed. Managed back to sleep after an hour then hubby's pager went off just at 8. He never knows what he's going to but I got a 'shouldn't be long' text which was my cue to get up and get breakfast on. He's away with stepson now and I'm trying to get the energy and notion to go do my shopping I need to do.
Totes jealous of all you lovely people with movement, 19+2 and not felt a thing yet. We usually end up in bed at different times but last night we went together and hubby managed to join me in my nightly poke and prod (that sounds sooooo wrong) that I do with my belly just to feel how things are coming along.
My BMI was just under 25 before Christmas and probably 25 at BFP. I've put on a lot of weight, probably all 21lb that I lost last year but I refuse to weigh myself. Just feel fat and frumpy right now and actually had a cry about it last night but he agrees that finally there is a bump appearing in there and tried to make me feel better by telling me that I can't expect to stay slim when pregnant. Slim for me is a 12-14 normally which I was just back to and then it all went to rat !!!! lol.
Ach well, embrace and enjoy being able to eat what I want and worry about being the size of the house afterwards! No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Daisie, when you went to Boston did you use flight socks? I'm going to get some as my first holiday the flights are 4 hours plus car travelling time and with my ankles being the way they are I want to try and prevent as much as possible. I've looked at Boots and stuff and they're nearly £15 a pair!
Anyone any recommendations as to where or what would be the best ones to get?No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

I had a late night last night, went to bed at midnight which is probably the latest I've gone since January. Fur baby seems more energetic this morning, still worried about her using the dog flap with her tummy, so have the doors open even though it's raining and has been since sometime during the night. Not going to knitting group today as she's pretty clingy and want to be around to make sure she can get outside if needed. But once I finally turn off the machine I can do some knitting in my own living room
OH is on a 12 hr shift both today and tomorrow so not much planned myself, still got the nursery on the list as always.0 -

Well. I bought some! They were £15 from Boots but I can't remember which ones they were. I think just Boots own, there were two pairs in the pack. I put them on in the morning of my flight and by the time I got on the plane I had taken them off. Found them really uncomfortable. I just made sure I moved around lots - up walking at least once an hour - and moved my legs a lot when I was in my seat. It was easier cos we fly in First so there is lots of space and I could completely stretch my legs out and even stand up and move around a bit in my little area. I made sure I drank water the whole time too. Mind you I was only 14 weeks when we went out and 16 when we came back so it might be more of a consideration at a later stage.
Where are you going? I love holidayswas just thinking this morning that I am gutted we don't have a big holiday planned this summer to look forward to and probably won't again for ages
we usually go to the US every summer, different places. I know we went in April but it already feels like ages ago and it is so sad to think we won't go again for however many years!
