For those 20 weeks plus - when and from whom did you get your Mat B1 form? Am I right in thinking I need to get it in to my emplyer before 25 weeks? I am currently 19+4 and my next appt is a GP one at 25 weeks so assume I need to see someone before then.
I got mine at the 20 week scan, from the hospital.
I suspect we'll be hosting at Christmas, but probably just us and my Dad so not too many to cater for. We don't usually have turkey though, last year was duck! We've done a little bit of Christmas shopping (Jan sales) but need to have a look through and decide what else to get.0 -
I have deliberately booked my 25 week appointment for when I will be 24+1 (the +1 is just because that is when it works out for the day the midwife is at the surgery) in the hopes that I can get my MatB1 form then, in order to give it to work by 25 weeks.
I have heard other people saying that you can ring the GP and get them to issue it though, not sure if that is true or not but maybe worth a try.
That's good to know as it seemed the obvious solution to me. After all I had my 20 week scan a little early...Met DH to be 2010

Not according to the list of dates in my handheld notes. Was going to ask in scan today Bluebell but as am 19+4 not sure they would have even if I remembered.
I have 23/5 (19+4) 20 week scan
Week beginning 30/6 GP appt at 25 weeks
25/7 MW appt at 28+4 (now resceduled to 1/8 because of me)
Going to try week before with GPMet DH to be 2010

Why is your 25 week appt with GP if you don't mind me asking?0

You may ask but I have no idea. In my handheld notes pack I got a piece of paper saying all my dates by week of pg and who they are with. MW confirmed it was GP when I saw her for 16 weeks on 29/4. That's a 12 week gap between mw appointments! Not even been to GP as pg woman yet as confirmed pg at walk in centre as too excited to wait.
BTW friend sent v long email she was sent from a friend about good things to buy. Would it be helpful to post on here? Will have to leave until tomorrow as too faffy on tablet and need proper computer.Met DH to be 2010

Oh. Weird how things are different in different places! All my appointments are with midwife.
Yes that email would be very appreciated if you get time tomorrow0 -

Oh you are kind. Thank you. It is fine, none since this morningmy sister (almost doctor, currently studying for finals upstairs) says she reckons there must still be some of the placenta covering the cervix even if they could not see it on the 20 week scan. So who knows. I just don't like seeing blood and am much happier when it stops again!

We might be going to my sisters or parents at Christmas so at least I can be waited on! Will have to buy baby a couple of bits as dd wants to 'help' open it's presents .
I was trying to work out when I will get my matb1 form as have consultant appointment at 24 weeks but not sure they will give me one. Might ask midwife at 16 week appointment what I should do.0 -
Laila it sounds like you've done everything you could do. I've not weighed myself since I got pregnant. I'm not sure if I want to.
We're definitely going to get the baby a silly outfit for Christmas. I have no idea about about presents; probably just things the baby needs.
Has anyone else set up an am@zon list for their baby? Not as hints for other people but to log my decisions and purchases.
Today I went round a few baby shops with my sister and she was telling me all of the bits and bobs we'll need and won't need. And she's bought us some Tim top bibs.
Oh, and I've really started to feel the baby move. Yay.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
