Daisie - I think you are getting close to needing a carer!
Feeling productive now! Gone through all the paperwork and filed or shredded it all. DH seemed to notice I was doing things and put away all the laundry (which he washed yesterday) and made me some pre-dinner muscles - yum.
Then in a burst of energy I cleared out the random cupboard of a million teas/vitamins/painkillers etc which has been annoying me for ages. It's funny when you clear out a cupboard you find 50% of the stuff can be thrown away!
ETA: I also sent an email to a recommended Doula for post-natal care. Is anyone else thinking about that? I have heard great things about them, and since I'm a bit light on support networks I thought it would be a good idea.0 -
Poor oh has forgotten what s3x is like! To be honest with all of the meh of last year our s3x life really took a kicking and didn't really recover. It's something of a miracle that this actually happened- only had s3x twice in December! Now i'm just permanently exhausted, cranky and if he even dared to touch my nipples i'd have to kill him!
Does anyone else have incredibly sore nipples? They feel so sensitive and as soon as they get the slightest bit cold they feel like they're on fire ( like when you've been scraping ice out of a freezer for so long your hands feel hot). Spoke to the midwife about it and she told me to try lanisoh but that's more for cracked/ sore bf nipples... Could honestly cry with the pain sometimes- had to get in the shower before just to warm them up!any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Am jealous of the holidays! My passport has just expired and can't really justify renewing it just yet- anyone have any recommendations for somewhere nice (and cheap?!) in uk for a week in June/ July? I like being able to choose sightseeing or relaxing. We usually got to that there London for a few nights each year because I love it but I don't think I could face the hordes with a bump!
Should really move over to the big thread now- 24 weeks today but will prob just hang around here for a bit longer. Big thread seems very real somehow! :rotfl:0 -
TCOD, it's because on that thread people have BABIES. Far too freaky to think about..
Our little IVF trio will follow you soon enough.
WTDN and Peonie - do you realise how lucky we are? It breaks my heart to see so many cycles on the TTC threads with so little success recently. There were 4-5 cycles on the list just the other day and I think they have all failed. So very sad.0 -
Hi all,
Had a nice day although tired after my 5.30 wake up call from dd. My Mum came up and we took DD to the natural history museum in Tring. Was quite good, lots of 'animals' to look at and she enjoyed 'drawing' them. Then we went to a cafe and had lunch which my mum treated us to. She had a nap when we were back so had a chill out with mum drinking tea and watching tv. OH at work till 11pm so chilling in front of tv but not much on!
Wow at how much those swaddling blankets are, i would hope they work miracles for that money.
By the time I move to big thread those if you who are going now will be nearly ready to have babies eek!0 -
Hello. Well I've had a crap evening. I got my I pad screen fixed on Thursday, and tonight my friends dog which I'm sitting for the weekend jumped up on the sofa where he's not allowed and his paw landed on the I pad screen and broke it!!!
Peed off is an understatement.
So I've got my compensation money coming from my car accident this month, it's all being spent on doing the house up but I've just ordered a brand new iPad Air for myself. I've had my I pad 2 for 3 years and I use it every day. Plus my car accident was so horrendous I was unable to walk for a year so I think I deserve it.
My brothers going to replace the broken screen again and I'll sell the sodding thing!0 -
Good Evening
Good luck to those ladies moving on to the big thread. I'm 22 weeks tomorrow so not long and I will be joining you.
Not a very productive day here. We went to town to pick up my contact lenses, visited hubby's grand-dad for a while and then I've been sat watching films, knitting and eating. We did take the dog on a long walk and got absolutely soaked. First time I've gone with hubby to take her out in ages as I've been poorly and bloody typical that it chucked it down!
I've just had a big fat Chinese takeaway which I have to say was epic but am now feeling slightly guilty and will make sure we go food shopping tomorrow and get lots of fruit and veggies!
In regards to nips, mine are sore most of the time and were getting really dry and itchy. I've just been putting bio oil and/or cocoa butter on them and that seems to help.0 -
YES nips! Mine are not dry or anything but they get soooooo painful and like you said, particularly when cold. It really can be agony, I get to the point where I'm threatening to cut them off if it doesn't ease soon. It hasn't actually been happening quite so much recently but I got it a lot between about 15-18 weeks. Ow! Makes me terrified about how much breastfeeding will hurt0

Thank god i'm not a sore nip freak! Do you think something with a local anaesthetic (like germoline) would help? I've been so tempted to use it but mw made me feel like it was normal and i was being a wimp! Not in a mean way- am just over sensitive at mo!0

I don't know. I feel like that is more for skin, but my pain is inside the nips if you know what I mean? Let me know if you try it though! We need a nip pain support group...0 -
Evening all. Just back in from partying and it wasn't as bad as expected, made plenty of pennies tonight!
Just read through a couple of pages of posts and can hardly remember a thing about what was said!
Good luck to everyone moving on. It is scary the thought of it. It took me til 14 weeks to move here (after my second '12' week scan) as I was fearful of it becoming more real! Starting to inch closer to the top of the list on here although still plenty to go before me!
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, orders from tonight are a priority but I suppose I better do some painting, washing, ironing, gardening, or whatever I get the notion to do!
Nips? Mine gave been really sensitive since the word go but found out last night they're not quite so bad as they were ;-)No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000
