Monty I'm just making a note on my phone when I come across a name I like. Haven't shared it with hubby yet but he's waiting to discuss names for when we know if sproglet is pink or blue.

Sorry you've had a reaction to something peonie hopefully it's a short thing.

I'm currently lay in bed thanks to my hips being that sore that I'm struggling to walk and keep my balance. I'm really hoping it's not a sign of things to come as this happened a couple of years ago and I was off work for 2 weeks because of it. I had an operation last year on my left hip which seemed to sort it out but I think with all the loosening etc that goes on in pregnancy it's starting up again bah.

Monty we have 2 girls names decided upon but have got nowhere as yet for boys names. Lets hope we find out what team we're in on Tuesday to force the issue.

Thanks ladies, I'm lying on the sofa and feel a lot better. At some point I'll have to test the peach theory. I'm not looking forward to that.

I think we've settled on a girls first name but boys are so much harder to choose. It's a pain that our friends have used the names I like.

Peonies hope you feel better soon.

All the names I like my friends have used and I don't want a really common name! It's so hard!

If you are a member on the bounty website you can look through their list of names and favourite them on there. I think it allows you to favourite up to 50 names. I did this then me and hubby went through them and took out the ones he didn't like. Still got a list of about 18 names though and there's more girls names than boys on it. Not sure how we will choose from them!

Monty, I was surprised that one friend thought another should have asked permission to use a name as a middle name! What do you think?

I like Sophia and Eve but can't use them :(

Luckily I don't like the boys name my friends chose.

I've been trying to think of baby names all day. I'm losing the will to live. Has anyone chosen yet?

Yes we have, we had a girls name since the day I got my BFP and her middle name will hubby's nan's name (she died very recently). We had no idea of boy's names though so worked out well that that she is a girl! We already refer to her by name...is that weird?

Why would you need to ask permission? I think that's being a bit precious about it.
I have a girls name we both like but I'm still not sure if that makes sense. I can't decide on boys prob because I'm convinced I'm having a girl!
  • Thanks Mrs C. Forgot about that having read it this morning!

We 5 boys names on our list. There is front runner and we do call the bump by that name Laila so it's not just you (feel a little guilty/shifty/superstituous, so mostly at home with DH or in my head). We had 2 or 3 girl's names.

Basically we have spent since Friday saying boys names to each other with the surname to see what feels/sounds right. We want a few for middle names or in case the first name doesn't suit when he arrives. However we have still been saying names since day one as we figured it would be tough.

Peonie and alioops - get well soon :(

Lemontree - hope your little one stays a bit more still/facing the right way!

My friend said I wasn't allowed to use the names she's chosen for when she has a girl. I was so shocked at this and they are both names that I've had on my list for a few years.

DH chose a boys name and now a lady at work has used it so don't feel comfortable using it even though we won't be socialising together.

It's weird how women react to baby names isn't it.

Thanks for the well wishes lilmiss, thank goodness it's a long weekend lol.
