Good luck for your scans tomorrow lilmissreading and time2deal. lilmissreading is yours at RBH? I had mine there last week and it was delayed an hour and the waiting room was like an oven, just to warn you if it's warm weather tomorrow.
Glad to hear your scan went well Peonie
lollypopswater sorry to hear about the job
MrsC....tobe hope your ankles improve soon.
Lemon Tree Poor fur babyhope all goes well. My dog was very sorry for herself being spayed.
Hopefully I haven't missed anyone
Thanks so much for all the comments/replies RE Slimming World. I texted the leader woman this afternoon to say I'm giving it a miss until after the baby. I usually do the scales for her so I thought I better let her know but I feel so much better now I've got it off my chest and don't have that pressure to dread each week!0 -
Lemon tree I've got a bmi of 34 and I'm not booked for extra scans? Is this normal?
I've just watched a obem where a baby girl was born at 23 weeks and survived! It was amazing!0 -
Me too monty! At least it was 34 at booking in - having gained 8.5lbs it must be more now. I am slightly concerned about having a giant baby as hubby and his siblings were all 10 lbers and I am under 5 ft tall, so I'd love to get growth scans!0

Errrrgh I have blood again this morning after having none for nearly two weeks, and being told at my 20 week scan that the placenta has moved up0

Didn't get much chance to catch up yesterday so just reading back now.
Lolly sorry to hear about the jobs, you could definitely have done without that at the moment
Peonie glad the scan went well.
Lilmiss how exciting to start feeling movement, I can't wait for that to happen me!
Tink if your friend is a close one she will understand if you don't feel up to it. But do try to let her know as soon as possible if you're not going.
T2D and lilmiss good luck for your scans today
Laila the whole Slimming World thing is pretty shocking. You've definitely done the right thing by knocking it on the head for now. Imagine berating a pregnant woman for having put on a bit of weight, even though she's still a healthy weight. I think I'd complain to head office as that is really irresponsible.
I have a rubbish cough that's getting worse but have been told not to take anything for it and I'll just have to wait it out - I saw the triage nurse on Friday but it's just not getting any better. Trouble is I've had bronchitis a couple of times and am prone to coughs settling on my chest and not going anywhere, and they know this but don't seem concerned. It is driving me madAlso my bad back has flared up again and this along with the cough is making me feel sorry for myself. Trying not to have a pity party.

Just to let you know I have anterior placenta. Started feeling bubbly movements at about 17 weeks. They're proper kicks now. Oh has felt kicks on outside since 21 weeks. Not too long a wait!
Eta: i'm 23 weeks now if that helps...0 -
Are you able to go and see your mw/ pregnancy unit Daisi? Hope you're ok! xx
Good luck for all with scans today!
Laila, i'm with angel- i'd be writing a complaint to head office. It's a weight loss support group- not a let's have a pop at a pregnant woman (who having been to many sw groups myself is probably still lighter than the majority who go and blame their constant weight gains on 'star' weeks... Or was that just my mental group?)
Is it too early to start mat leave yet?! Cba with work at the moment. In until monday, on call over the weekend and the amount of pressure and stress management is putting everyone under makes it a hideous place to be right now. Was desperately scanning my body this morning to see if there was anything that felt like I could use as an excuse not to go in! Sadly everything seems to be ticking along nicely.... Lol. Best be off to the grind... Have a good day everyone!0 -
daisiegg Sorry to hear you are bleeding again, sending hugs xxteaandcakeordeath wrote: »Laila, i'm with angel- i'd be writing a complaint to head office. :rotfl:No my group is like this too. It annoys me as I know it's hard losing weight but seems like the people who "have been off for 2 weeks and only put on 2lbs" seem to be congratulated where as a pregnant woman is made to feel rubbish for gaining weight. She messaged me last night apologising for letting me down and then proceeded to tell me there were tools to find out what is sabotaging my weight loss...erm that would be the baby love!! :rotfl:0 -
What an idiot! It's people like this that worry me. You can be anybody and set up a weight loss group and it can lead to serious eating disorders and people putting themselves at risk.
Imagine if you were a naive person and hung on her every word and tried to lose weight while pregnant? What could that do to the baby? So so so irresponsible and I would be contacting SW telling them this. Not to get her in trouble, but maybe she could do with some re training.
Eat what the hell you want, it's the only time you can get away with it. Sod her and her weight loss cronies, you do what's best for you!!
Grrrrrrrrr! Touched a nerve that did!0 -
LailaP - can't believe she is still going on about it. What on earth does she mean by 'sabotaging your weight loss'? You are well shot of her!
Tea - sorry work is pants at the moment, but great that your body is ticking over nicely!
Daisi - sorry you are bleeding again. I agree that it might be good to contact your community mw or even the mat assessment unit if you are worried.
T2D and lilmiss - Yeah for 20 week scans!! Let us know how you get on! :j
Lollypops - sorry to hear about the redundancies. Hoping you get kept on and DH finds something better very quickly. Extra stress you don't need right now though, hugs x
Peonie - brilliant that your scan went well, so pleased to hear it!Can't believe us 12m+ TTCers are at this stage already! (almost for me!)
Tink - agree with the others, only go to the wedding if you feel up to it. And take it easy if you do go x
Lemon - take it easy on the nursery DIY if you do get around to doing anything.
Monty - how you feeling today?
AFM - I have a fun weekend of working at a major sporting event that my charity has a stand at. Full on 6am - 7pm days sat/sun, but I'm bring my DH along to do all the heavy lifting and generally to help out.
We're also staying through there in a nice hotel, so that is nice cause its our wedding anniversary today! :j 5 years married and couldn't be happier with our wee one on the way!0
