Sorry to hear about the possible redundancy lollypops. All you need really.
Me and DH went out for breakfast and ended up with a Stokke Xplory! DH had never looked at them before but kind of fell for it once he had a play about and my Mum has kindly paid for it, as she insisted we get it. I got the red one so figure I may use it for our second born? We are just going to buy the carrycot and accesories.
It glides so easy and effortlessly. In terms of weight, it feels quite light and manageable. I found the Quinny Moodd quite heavy compared to some when I was looking at that.0 -
I have a maxi dress on today and my bump is really noticable I think. I have not been weighed since my booking appt. but I am sure I have gained weight on my legs and arms... unless they are just going flabby due to doing nothing for the past 5 months!0

I'm trying to keep the dresses until after my hols just now, infact, as the suitcases are down I. Just going to put everything that's looked out for hols so far into them so I'm not tempted by them. Although if the weekends are hot I might have to.
Told my boss yesterday that my work shirts were getting put away this weekend as I'm down to no buttons fastened over a vest top. He said I'd be as well just putting them to a charity shop as I'd never fit in them again!! Then he ran away! Makes me determined to be in them by the time I go back to work next year, makes no odds to me really as it's his budget hat will be buying me more! Just need to find work suitable clothes in the wardrobe now.....No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Well for a change I am happy and feeling good today!!
Had a great time with my friend last night despite the lack of alcohol, and a nice breakfast with her this morning before she went. Today I actually seem to feel vaguely human, have energy, have not vomited and don't feel desperate for an afternoon nap! Long may it continue!
I am very excited as we have bought wallpaper, a rug, a lamp, a lampshade and some wall stickers for baby girl's room. We are having three walls painted a very pale lemon colour and one wall papered and have picked a really pale pink paper with butterflies on it. Then if we have a boy later on, we can keep the lemon walls and just repaper the one wall. The rug, lamp etc all match the paper and are just so sweet. They are not crazy bright horrid pink but very pale and subtle. I am so excited to get it all sorted!
Then with my unaccustomed energy this afternoon I have been having a good sort out and tidy up...sorely needed. Is it too early to start nesting? I feel like I want to sort out every single cupboard/drawer in the house! I hope the urge hangs around a while because I will have a long time off work before baby gets here, so it would be great if I can use the time to get the house all perfect!
Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather. We did BBQ yesterday and are today and will tomorrow too! Different food each time but why not, if the weather is nice. It is not sunny here but is lovely and warm. I think tomorrow is meant to be sunnier.0 -
How exciting Jen the stokke prams look lovely! Great that your mum bought for you as well.
Good to head you have more energy Daisiegg, I'm really tired today. Assuming bubs is having a growth spurt! Told hubby and he's been great and done bulk of the cleaning (we normally split it) am now sat down before we head out later.
We have ordered our pram as well, gets delivered end of August. We had some vouchers but best bit is mil offered to pay the other £500 towards it! Mum will now be contributing to furniture.... Went for black but may get seat liner/cosy toes in appropriate colour once baby is hear!
Very exciting!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
it has been a lovely day hasn't it ladies, I've spent the afternoon outside in the garden. Finally got OH to put the fabric top back on the gazebo so we have some shade, so cleaned up the furniture and sat out there knitting a little jacket for the baby. Did some planting as well, and luckily OH heard me telling off the dog (who's idea of gardening is to dig it all back up again) and came and did the planting for me so it ended up being done much quicker. Even had time for a little snooze out there. Not a bad way to spend a birthday, specially when you're skint.
sorry to hear about your being put at risk Lolly, I've got that to face when I get back from maternity leave, and HR aren't being too clear on the rules of if I have to pay back the occupational maternity pay if I can't work the necessary 3 months because I've been made redundant. Guess i'll just face that when/ if it happens.0 -
Hi ladies,
Sorry I haven't posted for ages, I have been lurking and reading regularly, but can't seem to find the energy to put a sentence together! Very excitingly I have moved onto the next thread, I am 26+4 today.
Hope to see you all there soon x0 -
Hi anyname, ggrr must be the third trimester creeping in. See you over there soon x0
-
if that's the 3rd trimester kicking in, I really must get a wriggle on and get some of those jobs done round the house today whilst I feel in the mood and whilst I have a modicum of energy.
up early again today, and another day alone as OH is on a 12 hour shift, and the sun is shining so that can only mean one thing - lots of things to put through the washing machine - oh what an exciting life I lead. If I'm feeling really adventurous I may head to Dunelm and get the blind that I'd like for the baby's room.
Just a quick question, I have a giant fleece blanket, do you think it would be ok to cut it up and bind the edges and turn it into a multitude of baby blankets?0 -
Good luck, any name!0
