Ooh poor you. I broke my foot last year (on my wedding day!) so I can sympathise.
Actually I wouldn't mind if mine permanently went bigger as they are smaller than a size 3 at the moment which is so annoying - virtually all ladies shoes start at a 3 but they are a bit too big so I can only wear certain styles and they always MUST have a strap to keep them on my feet0 -
Hi all!
T2D - you know me so well, I have been lurking on you all, waiting to join! :rotfl:
I'm 14 weeks today with baby no. 1 after a 2nd successful go at IVF. I know some of you lovely ladies from the 12+ TTC thread (hi to Peonie, T2D and WTDN!) and I am finally ready to join you all. :j
The pg was going well until 10+5 when I had a massive bleed and then the baby was mis-diagnosed with an 80% of having a chromosome disorder. Thankfully we saw a specialist and had the tests and we are very low risk so that was a total relief! The cause of the bleeding is a large blood clot but that seems to be disappearing now too and as my cervix is closed, all should be well we've been told. So, we're all booked up with the midwives and have our 20 week scan all booked. Really hoping that is all the stress we'll have and things will go smoothly from now on!
I'm 35, will be 36 when baby arrives, but like others that is not through choice, it just took us years to get pg. DH is 39 so a bit of an older dad but he's young at heart! Picking up on the mat leave chat from a wee while ago, I too am the main earner but feel fortunate that I get 18 weeks full pay so planning at the mo to take about 8-9 months off, but hoping to save enough so I can take the 3 months with no pay if I choose to.
Not had the chance to read through and get to know you all, but I hope to get to know you over the next 10 weeks that I'll be hanging around here.

Evening all. Well my stomach ache got so bad I thought I was actually losing the baby
I ended up in a ball of agony but it turns out I now have really bad diarrhea and wind. This is after being constipated for days and days. I'm so bloated it's awful. So I've just been to local asda and bough all bran and bananas and oranges. I've tried to eat a big bowl of it but it's like chewing cardboard. I dont want to take any more lactulose yet because it can make the diarrhea worse but finding the balance is hard. I'm so fed up with it
Sorry if tmi.0 -

Welcome Sewit! I knew you were around.
So glad you have made it - sounds like a very stressful couple of weeks. Good that the baby is happy and healthy, and hopefully a calmer few months ahead. Bet you thought the rollercoaster was over once you got pregnant!0 -
monty you have my sympathies, I'm the other way at the moment so have been relieved to resort to the lactulose, but in the early days would get the runs about once a week. I do have pretty bad wind though, gets worse as the day go along (sorry for the tmi). someone at work mentioned peppermint oil tablets helped her, but when I asked at the chemist I got the usual response that I seem to get every time I mention I'm preggers, 'oh we're not sure you can have that so won't sell you it' they wouldn't even sell me lactulose which I eventually got on prescription. It's like you've got a sign round your neck pronouncing you as being unclean and a leper or something.
we've just had a friend of mine round with her baby, he's 3 months in a couple of days, hubby had his first hold of a little baby in decades and didn't panic too much when he started crying lol0 -
