I'm 35 and will be 36 when sproglet arrives and DH will be 32 but my MW told me that she was seeing someone who is 48  I couldn't imagine being pg at that age but I don't feel 35 so maybe that's why it's a scary thought lol.

I'm not sure if we'll have a 2nd as we're unsure of the impact of being pg and having a baby will have on my body due to my condition so I'm taking it as easy as I can and just keeping an eye on things. Thankfully I've got that many medical professionals interested I know I can get help with just a phone call.

My skin is ridiculous, my back is spotty but hey I don't see so don't care lol but my face is really bad and I just can't get anything to sort it out. In fact my friends have urged me to see my gp about it as they think there's something else going on and one of friends works on the sciencey side of skin care so is going to speak to a couple of colleagues to see if they can suggest anything. I'm going to have to get started on the moisturising (well rope hubby in to do it) and I've got heaps of S&G body butter and body moisturiser that I probably shouldn't buy any more lol.

Thanks for sharing lixi. My sister and my friend have both breastfed so I know that I can ask them for help if I'm really struggling but they made it look really easy which I'm not fooling myself that it will be.

My family are convinced it's a boy. We have no ideas ourselves but no strong preferences. We can see exciting and confusing things about both.

Daisiegg - can't shut us up! Perhaps reflects people lifting their weary heads out of the toilet bowl and being able to stay awake long enough to post!

Allioops those kind of moisturisers are not good for spots, you need to get the spots to dry out first. You could be making them worse. Have you tried an alcohol based face wash like clearasil on your back? Then when they start to dry out use a watery moisturiser like Olay or baby lotion rather than a thick oily creamy one?
  • Oh and my nails are growing. I bite them and always have and now without trying I have for me long nails (not long for normal people).

Hair wise I washed it twice this last week and normally I would have to do every other day. TBH if I hadn't gone swimming don't know I'd have bothered yesterday.

Skin wise no spots thank the lord. But this week I have been more itchy than usual with no change in skin care regime so worried it''s a pg side effect. Hoping it stays manageable.

Off to Mapeldurham (where they filmed the Allotment TV series if anyone has been watching) for a craft fair with a nice walk along with Mil and Fil.

My constipation/trots is back with a vengeance. I've got chronic stomach ache. Back onto the lactulose for me :(
  • I'm 33 and depending on when bubs appears I may be 34 and hubby will be 35.

Been quite lucky so far skin, hair and nails all pretty good only thing I thought I was getting on Friday night was piles (sorry tmi) but seems to have settled down.

Hubby always said he only wanted one but think we will see how we cope and decide from there. Seeing as how it will have taken 18ths from stopping contraception to baby this time I suppose we will need to decide at some point!

Not thought about a sober Xmas hmmm might just see how I'm feeling by then. Hubby thinks we are having everyone round here - maybe if he cooks!!!

I told my oh this morning about no drinks for me at Xmas. Hg thinks I'll be ok with a Buck's Fizz in the morning and a baileys in the eve but I feel bad! Do you think that's too much? I'm not a big drinker so just one will do. It's a sort of Xmas tradition!

I'm hoping sproglet is a girl although hubby says he's happy with either, and I will be too but I keep saying she, and so do family and friends lol. I think when you have an idea of what you want you might be disappointed if it's the other at first but I'm sure it won't affect you any more than the initial reaction iykwim.

Thanks monty I've not actually used anything on my back and just know I've got spots there lol. I'm having a moisturising body wrap next weekend so think I'll get hubby to scrub my back for me this week to try and get rid of them. My face is just ridiculous, I've now bought some Witch exfolliant and also cleansing wash to try and help but have to go to the doctors anyway so may as well bring it up with them.

The witch stick is amazing. You wash and dry your face then apply that direct. It dries spots out literally overnight. I used to suffer in my teens and that always worked instantly. I've got to say, I've now got a bloody perfect completion and never suffer now! Although I've awful nails and my hair needs washing most days and I could do with losing weight, but at least my skin is good to me!

well I'm back, recovering from a couple of hours gardening, tummy's a bit achy but at least the front and side borders are now weeded and the daffy's are chopped back. Now no excuse for hubby to not mow the lawn. I have no intention of doing that as even before I was preggers it used to pull my stomach 'muscles'. Still got to take puppy dog out for a nice long walk today to use up some of her energy and check the boxes with the nursery furniture in to make sure all the pieces are there. should have probably done that job a couple of weeks ago but after they were delivered were straight away tied up with getting sorted for the living room carpet to be replaced. Just waiting for hubby to get home from work and can start with these jobs.
