I swear I felt something once at 13 weeks (far too early) but nonetheless it was the bubbly feeling low down like wind but not wind.
Since then zip, zilch and am 16+6.
Yes I did know about the cough/cervix effect as I was once asked to do so in a cervical smear and it freaked the heck out of me!
Trouble is logic is only so comfortingMet DH to be 2010

Daisie I didn't feel much movement for 2 days during the week. I rang the midwife & she said to eat or drink something really sugary, then lie on my left hand side with zero distractions (no TV, chat, mobile etc)
I had a tea with 3 sugars, and a raspberry royale dessert from m&s.
Felt movement within 10 minutes or so. Please try this to put your mind at rest & let us know xx0 -

Also on another note, anyone planning to breast feed?
Are you planning on buying bottles for expressing / using formula as well?
How many bottles are you planning on buying? I have bought the avent starter. Pack, so 2 smal & 2 regular bottles so far.
TIA x0 -

Oh daisie sorry that you've had more bleeding and although you know what's causing it I think pregnancy hormones far outweigh common sense at this stage.
Credit_crunch I am thinking of breast feeding so hadn't even thought of buying any bottles. Holy crap I'm going to be completely unprepared :eek:DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

I hope to breastfeed but wouldn't mind expressing a bit if I can as hubby is keen to be able to do the odd feed and it would be great if now and then we could get out for an hour or two in the evening (my mum lives 10 mins away and is VERY keen to babysit - the guest room at their house is being turned into a nursery as we speak!)
Last week we bought an electric breast pump, a pack of 6 Tommee Tippee bottles (they were £10 in Mothercare instead of £26), a microwave steriliser and a bottle/food warmer I think. This stuff was all Tommee Tippee and all had quite good discounts in Mothercare.
While we are on the topic, how long does everyone think they might breastfeed? Apparently the NHS guideline is 6 months. This horrifies me! I will obviously take things as they come and see how it goes but I was thinking if I made it until Christmas (baby due beginning of October) I would be doing well.0 -
Thanks ladies
I am only using the avent bottles as my cousin is passing on the avent steriliser to me.
I aim to bf but will prob supplement with formula so OH can do feeds as well as grandparents. I bought a manual pump so if i can express I will rather than use formula.
If I can manage 4 or 6 weeks of breast feeding I feel it will be better than nothing. I will be going back to work after 6 months & will possibly be using the keep in touch days so sole bf will not be realistic for me.0 -
Daisie, I did my last lot of ceilidh dancing at 8 weeks and will give it a go tonight, might not be quite as energetic as usual but I'll still go for maximum bruisage on the right arm during Strip the Willow! Hubby better be fit to do some dancing as he tweaked his back at the start of the week and has just done a 67 mile or so cycling sportive this morning and called when he finished to reckon he had completely knackered it and was frightened to sit down as he didn't think he'd be able to get back up. Great. Think my clothing crisis has been averted though have been trying in some dresses and have found some that fit, some that don't, and some that will fit great once I've got the tights on (if I can find any of them that fit!).
Peonie, I'm about an hour away from Inverness (a lovely city) in the middle between there and Aberdeen. We had to go across yesterday so he could do the registration for the sportive so we took the rats to the cinema and Pizza Hut for a treat, and I also got my summer wardrobe in Primark. If I want Primark maternity stuff though I'll have to go to Aberdeen as they only stock the super skinny jeans there.
Thanks all re when you were feeling movement, good to know there are others not feeling anything yet.
Breast feeding. I am planning on it, it is free after all! Lol. But I've also bought the Tommee Tippee starter set with the electric steriliser, bottles, brush, therms bags, electric bottle warmer, and various other bits n bobs in it. Rrp is £100 and cheapest I found it was £65 on Kiddicare. You can buy all the bits separately but it would have cost a fortune. All I need now is a breast pump. Even if you are planning to breast feed you will still need some bottle things so baby can feed once you have expressed and so that hubby/partner can share the night feeds! You will definitely need a steriliser in any case for spoons etc when you start solids. My sister breast fed and even then the steriliser was very well used. She put it away once baby started picking things up off the floors and putting them in his mouth.......No longer ...tobe!
