Ruth I've got a blocked tube due to previous surgery.welcome though. I hope your stays short.0

Thanks both. Had a feeling I had adhesions due to chronic pain/bowel problems since the first op, but didn't realise they would be so bad. It's like the gift that keeps on giving! But not a gift that I want. My GP was very pessimistic about it all the other day, but am going to try and stay positive until we see what the HSG shows. Dreading having that done, especially after googling it!Hold my hand harder

Ruth I've had 2 hsg, it wasn't the the best experience but pain wise was ok really just a bit crampy. Taking a couple of paracetomal before had can help.0

Good luck today LA and Star!
Come on eggies and follies!2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Star - huge amounts of good luck to you today for EC! Let us know how it all goes xxx
Hugs Wonder_Woman - it's an all too common feeling, that sinking feeling. It's a complete cliche but the whole thing really is a total rollercoaster. xxx
bigmomma - at my first appointment they went through all the notes, referred me for bloods and DH for a SA and booked me in for a HSG. xx
Love - good luck for your scan, like everyone has said, I'm sure you'll be suprised. I was convinced nothing was happening down there but when I had my day 7 scan, there was actually 9 follies growing - I'm not sure where they'd been hiding up to then! xx
Ruth - Hello and sorry you find yourself here. :hello: Hope your stay is short and sweet. I've had one HSG and like everyone's said, they're not the most pleasant thing in the world but it's not unbearable - take some paracetamol before hand and just keep in your mind that a HSG is nothing compared to childbirth
Also I'm looking after the 'IVF/ICSI/FET Cycles ongoing' list (which I'll update in a mo) - if you'd like to be added somewhere on there, let me know and I'll pop you on there
Hugs and creme eggs to everyone xxx0 -

Haha, know what you mean Tea - moving between the lists is stupidly pleasing
Ruth, I found the HSG absolutely fine. Very little discomfort and really quite fascinating. It's clich!d but relaxing helps, and a painkiller in advance may also. Good luck35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
Just came back from my scan.
Not very good news feeling a bit down.
Only around 2-3 follies in both ovaries and two of those follies in one of ovary may not be reachable due to an endo cyst. They will call me today afternoon to tell if I should increase the dose or continue the same.
Was very upset after the appointment and could not face work so called in sick and came back homeSaving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
