Thanks Wonder_Woman, good vibes and everyone else - I'm okay, it was negative just as expected. Thank you to you all for the support, positive thoughts and creme eggs though - it was all much appreciated xxx :A
Wanted to post this morning but DH very kindly whisked me out for the day at the seaside which was lovely but meant I only had my phone and couldn't post anything!
We did have a long chat about everything though and have both agreed to try again as soon as we're allowed. We're gonna stay at the same place as all the service, support and advice we've had has been pretty darn perfect - our next cycle will be private as our local area only funds one go.
Anyone know how long they like you to wait until you try again? I've read a few things about it being 6 months if you're funded but I'm not sure how long if you're private.
Not sure who's updating the lists at the mo but can I please be updated on the front page?
FrozenPenguin TTC#1 since Dec 2011. Me 31, DH 35, Me: mild PCOS. Had Day 3/Day 21 tests, US, HSG, 7 rounds of Clomid. DH: low SA in all 3 areas (count, morphology and motility) and a varicocele. Failed ICSI cycle #1 Feb 2014. Next step: Awaiting a review appointment with the consultant.
And on the 'IVF Cycles Ongoing' list, can I please be moved to the 'awaiting appointment' bit?
Many thanks x
Hugs to you all and fingers crossed for everyone having/starting treatment xxx0 -
Fp so sorry to hear your news, huge hugs to you.what a bummer.0

I'm so sorry frozen, sounds like you and your DH are taking great care of each other though.
We are private now as only 1 funded go too and were told we needed to wait 3 AFs to try again (including the one at the end of last IVF cycle). Got our BFN in early Dec and started our current cycle with CD1 on 5th Feb as couldn't wait any longer. xxx0 -
Frozen so sorry to hear that, sending you big hugs! xx
Last time ours failed we were told that nhs funded cycles were about 4-5 months. As they were closed over Xmas it made it 6 months. It seemed forever at the time but I used the last 3 months to eat properly, exercise, etc & it soon came round.
We are waiting for our review appt & will see when we can start again.
Hope everyone is doing ok xx52 Week Challenge £15/£13780 -
Sorry it didn't work FP, glad DH is supportive and you have a plan going forward xx
PM - Sorry this situation is never ending, you should really be getting better support from the HCPs, I think.
AFM - OPKs has gone positive on CD21!

At work on Friday, I came so, so close to interrupting this girl's team's group jubilation to tell them how insensitive they were being...but I managed to walk away, so relieved in retrospect, that would have been a lot of embarasment to live with!
And at the end of the day...they're young, naive and it wouldn't occur to most people to be anything other than noisily thrilled about someone's pg news. They didn't do anything wrong...but it was one of my worse ever moments in work, against some pretty stiff competition from some other !!!!!! days.

Oh and WW - It's not just your imagination - everyone IS pg at the minute. I made the mistake of taking my 5 yr old to our local - big and popular - park the other day, because the weather was nice. Ouch, big mistake. PG seems to be the new national sport and I can't play..

Onestep - Thank you xx I actually do have a magic wand, a glow in the dark one, in the toy box. Should I have a go?!

I'm brooding over something else now. One of my friends, S, is older (50 plus) and had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. She was nearly 50 when it happened, and was sad because it was the end of any chance of kids. I didn't want to point out that that chance had probably evaporated quite some time ago, and also that as she had been single for more than 10 years...ah well, I guess she was maybe in denial about that.
So anyway - I found out yesterday from a mutual friend that when I was pg last summer, albeit briefly, S was devastated and had to spend a lunch-hour walking round the local park at crying on the shoulder of this other friend to get over how upset she was by my pg news. Then as soon as I had a m/c, S was the first one to phone me to say how sorry she was.
Not sure what to do with this news necessarily, but I know I'm pee'd off about it...
I know I should just let it go, hormones and fertility issues aren't rational or logical and I have had my own fair share of bitterness directed at other people's pg..but this is bugged me. Am I daft?
Have a good Sunday everyone xx0 -

Morning ladies
hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sun.
finally got the prescription for the norwotsit and pregnyl sorted over the weekend so am ready to go... if the hospital let us this time. For anyone self-funding, the drug costs at asda were pretty low. I had NHS prescriptions and other things in the total as well and only got one receipt (so not sure of the exact prices) but they were both less than £6. Am expecting everything to be thousands so was pleasantly surprised lol. They also had them both in stock, which is always handy.
Start norstuff on friday then should be ready for stimms (again) 2weeks today.0 -
Tea and LA wishing you both loads of luck.0
