Hi llJaney,
I am veggie too and I read that protein is the way forward! Do you eat fish?X:rotfl:0 -
Congratulations ThinkPink! I hope everything is going well.
I have been getting very impatient at the moment. I can't wait for this letter to arrive and for us to finally start IVF. I can see babies and pregnant women everywhere and it didn't help that we went shopping for late Xmas presents for my 2 year old nephew and my 1 year old niece to take to Germany today. I can't wait to see their faces next week when they unwrap their presents though and I bet all my frustrations will be gone by then.
I am also due the dreaded AF which doesn't help my moods. I bet my OH is glad that I am off to work tomorrow and he doesn't need to deal with my bad mood.
I hope you are all ok.0 -
Hi everyone, just moving over from the ttc thread. We've been ttc since dec 2013, but i had just come off the depo and periods didnt return for around 9 months. Finally realised i need to do something and went to the drs this week. Booked in on Fri for 21 day bloods. However reading on here that a lot of you have 1-5 day bloods too? Do you need to have these? Already dreading fri as i am not good with needles!
I know i'm just at the beginning of a journey and a lot of you will have been here longer but one question i wanted to ask is, who do you have for support?
I feel like i would like to confide in one of my friends (non know of our ttc struggles) they think we have only recently started trying. However i dont want to be asked how i am and whats going on all the time. I'm also wondering if my mum will be offended at a later date when she finds out i havent confided in her! Thoughts or advice appreciated.
ps - congrats thinkpink!!0 -
Hi Staple and sorry you find yourself here xx
If you find yourself down the referral path, the very first thing I had was day 1-5 bloods (Had already had day 21 but they repeated it, then my husband had SA) so sorry :S
I have a handful of friends who I confide in and my parents have been amazing. However, lots of people don't know what we are going through, I am just blatantly lying and saying we are enjoying being married for now (Which we are - when not stressing about my prematurely aging ovaries)
One of my best friends is on her own ivf journey so she and I can just say it like it is.
However, it depends on what you need. A couple of my friends have said that they won't push for details, they are there when I need them. A couple of others, gently ask how we are then don't push it if I clearly don't want to talk... I haven't confided in people who will not be supportive, or who will be awkward around me!!!!! One person keeps asking when we are having babies and I keep lying as she kept telling me how her sis in law was having ivf and was jealous of her fertility - I don't want to be talked about like that!!!!!!!
Sorry that was quite an essay.

Thank you everyone. I'm still in the shock stage, and trying not to get my hopes up too much.x0

ellesbelles I don't eat fish, just trying to get my 5 a day and cook more from scratch as we had become a bit lazy!
Staple I had day 21 bloods then day 1-5 but my dr really wasn't sure about any of it. She said my results seem fine...but not with confidence!
I told one friend early on and have mentioned it to a couple of others but they don't really ask - they can see I'm not pregnant! There has been baby talk every day at work so far this term. I've had to leave the staff room a couple of times and have avoided going in again. Yesterday someone bought a newborn in and I managed the necessary comments etc until they started asking if it made me broody.
The worst is one of DH's friends who has just had a baby and asks if we have any news yet every time we see him
Sorry, moan over. My endo pain has been bad recently and it's getting me down."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

The first (failed) ICSI cycle I had I confided in a few work friends, those I sit with, as I found DR and Stims difficult and was getting all sorts of side effects so thought I'd tell them so they didn't think I'd just gone slightly mad. They were understanding, but constantly asking whens your next appointment, whats happening next, are you pregnant yet etc. and I just found it too stressful and that there was all this pressure and expectation on me. They meant it all in the best possible way, but in hindsight I wish I hadn't told them as it made an already stressful situation even more difficult. This time round I've only confided in one close friend at work. My parents and sister know too and they've been lovely and supportive so I definitely think it's good to have someone to talk to. I'm on day 6 of buserelin and the side effects are starting to kick in, getting hot flushes and headaches, also really tired so they might suspect soon I suppose.
Staple welcome to the thread, I hope your stay here is short. The whole process can be a bit daunting and overwhelming at times, but we're all here to support each other. Unfortunately because of the nature of it all the tests aren't always pleasant, but just think of the long term goal of it all. It does get easier too, you get used to being poked and prodded!!New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Afternoon ladies, hope everyone had a good weekend
Had my 10th buserelin injection this morning, got my scan on Friday so *fingers crossed* everything is switched off and I can move on to the next stage! Don't have an issue at all with the actual injections, but I'm so tired all the time, wake up every morning with headaches and am a bit of an emotional wreck - crying one minute, angry the next, so I'm looking forward to this stage being over!
Also TMI alert I had to start DR on CD1, AF stopped after 2 days (it's normally 3), but since then I've had spotting every day and been bleeding on and off, so 10 days of this now. I don't remember this happening last time round and was wondering whether any of you ladies have had similar?New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000
