  • chocoholic - glad your first jab went well! The first one is always the worst but after that it's not nearly so bad :) Are you on down regulation injections or stimming injections? I had the DR sniffer and found that it took a week or so before I spotted any symptoms - although I didn't have a huge amount of them, tiredness, a bit of a headache and the odd hot flush was all I had.

Just started my down regulation ones, not starting the stimming ones for another 3(ish) weeks. I've felt symptoms quite quickly which I wasn't expecting, for a few hours after the injection I feel really sick and dizzy, by mid morning thats normally cleared though ( I have the injection at 7.30am ). Also having trouble sleeping so feel really tired, thought that might just be a coincidence as I also feel like I'm coming down with a cold. Managing the injections fine, come up in a little nettle type rash after it thats really itchy but that goes quite quickly too.

  • Hi guys, I have no idea what to write or where to start, I have written all this out 4 or 5 times and deleted it and rewritten it and so on.

I have had both my tubes removed due to having PID on various occassions after surgery for PCOS. Having had 3 operations on my ovaries and tubes 3rd one resulting in one tube being removed, i knew it would be hard to concieve naturally but i could cope with that.

May 2014 I got married, went on honeymoon and when i returned i found myself in and out of hospital almost as soon as the plane landed in England. Various scans and tests took place, had an appointment with my consultant and he told me i would need my 2nd tube removed, resulting in never having children naturally, just the way i wanted my marriage to begin after 3 weeks.

Operation No.4 to remove tube took place in October 2014.

After many appts and tests at the doctors (and waiting for my 23rd birthday to come and go) I got referred to my local clinic last Monday, recieved a letter on Friday (27th Feb) to ring the hospital, phoned on monday (2nd March) and put on the waiting list at the local clinic!

Many many mixed emotions at the moment, which i'm told is perfectly normal, and i know it is but doesn't make it easier to deal with.

    Sorry for the long essay.

Hi ladies. Had my early scan today and there was nothing there. I am in shock and devastatEd. Don't know what happened. The hospital have taken blood and will call to confirm pregnant or not. If I am then it's ectopic so it won't survive and then I have to go to accident and emergency.

    Feel so lost

Skaps, I am so sorry to hear that. Massive hugs.

Welcome Elephant. I understand your feelings about the clinic - nobody is happy to go there, but they are usually very nice to you.

Oh no Skaps, lost for words for you, sending you a virtual hug. Take care and let us know how you get on x

Hi Elephant, welcome to the board (although sorry you have to join..) All emotions are to be expected and no post is too long on here!

The first time I went to the clinic was terrifying, thought they were just going to tell me to go away and deal with it, like I couldn't get pregnant because I didn't deserve to be or something equally crazy?! However, everyone we have dealt with has been lovely and I'm sure they will be for you.

Everyone is lovely on here too, I have found this thread to be a real help even when I hadn't posted as I was too scared to join! Just knowing that me and oh aren't the only ones going through this (especially when everyone you know and their dog seems to the popping out babies all the time...) is a great help.

Thank you so much, I rewrote my post lots of times before i decided it was ok to post and that it didnt make me sound silly. My friend recommened this post to help me through it all. Not sure how i would have coped without her help through the journey so far.
I am sure everyone will be lovely at the clinic ( as my friend has told me and is with the same clinic as me, as you say they will be lovely and i am sure it will be fine but it's still stepping into the unkown and somewhere i never thought i would need to go.
So glad i decided to join this forum, i feel it will be a great help to both me and OH even if its just so that he knows i have somewhere to turn to where people understand me.

Thanks again for making me feel welcome :D

Oh Skaps, that's so unfair. Will be thinking of you over the coming days xxxx

Welcome Elephant, I hope your stay here is short, in the nicest possible way :)

  • Welcome Elephant, it's perfectly normal what you're feeling and remember that once you are referred you are offered counseling so if you feel this will help then it's there.

I'm on day 5 of down regulating and have to admit I'm feeling pretty rubbish with it. The first few days I felt sick and dizzy, thats passed and now I just feel incredibly tired constantly, have had a headache for 2 days and I'm starting to have mood swings. I knew to expect it but didn't think it would hit me this hard. It's nearly the weekend though so at least I have a couple of days off to rest.
