Thanks all. I'm still in shock. They said it probably was an early miscarriage a chemical pregnancy. We had got our hopes up which has made it even worse.

Am waiting to hear from the hospital to find out what we do next.

Skaps Really sorry to hear your news. Will also be keeping you in my thoughts over the coming days x

Welcome Elephant likewise hope your stay is short for all the right reasons!

Have my HSG booked for Wednesday, told my boss I was having a small procedure done and that it had been recommended I don't return to work after, he was absolutely fine and didn't ask anything further, although I could tell he wanted to! Helps that he is out of the country this week so I had to do it via email, such a chicken :o Ultrasound is booked for next Sat so after that (assuming all is ok) the next step will be to book back in to see the consultant to get referred I guess.

Everyone is lovely on here too, I have found this thread to be a real help even when I hadn't posted as I was too scared to join! Just knowing that me and oh aren't the only ones going through this (especially when everyone you know and their dog seems to the popping out babies all the time...) is a great help.

Just wanted to quote this TamVilla80 as it sums up how I feel about this thread perfectly.

  • Thank you all for being so kind and welcoming. I know what I feel is perfectly normal after your reassurance and that of my dear friend who I don't know what I would have done without.

I am hoping it will a nice smooth, short journey but if it's anything like all the other journeys ive been on related to PCOS and PID then I don't hold out much hope that it will be smooth or simple!

So nice to know me and the DH are not alone in what we are feeling.

  • I have to admit though, I am fed up of waiting for the post man to come to check if our first appointment date has come. Seems like a lifetime and ive only been waiting since Monday! On holiday next week so Guna have my mum screening my post to check it hasn't come while I'm away.
im sure everyone else was like this too, just want the next stage of the journey to begin as much as I know what side effects are to come. It will worth it in the end.

Skaps, so sorry to hear your news, sending you massive hugs xxx

Good luck for Wednesday Shrimpy, take an ibuprofen about an hour before, and make sure you have chocolate and a hot water bottle for afterwards. Oh and take a sanitary pad with you, the ones you get given are HUGE!!

Choc hope the drug effects calm down soon, have a lazy weekend.

Primmer, apologies for the belated congrats for your news, hope everything is progressing well.

Hope everyone else is doing ok xxx

AFM, had my day 12 scan earlier, 3(!) good sized follicles so had my hcg trigger, just have to persuade OH to have an early night!

  • Day 7 of down regulating and I feel like a pro with the injections now :rotfl: Also seems like the side effects have settled down, I ended up sleeping for 11 hours on Friday night  so have felt a lot better since then. Headache's also finally cleared up, it really does seem like you need to drink A LOT of water to keep the headaches at bay, though I'm incredibly thirsty all the time so thats not an issue.

Went out for a nice lunch yesterday, today is going to be spent pottering around the house, think I might do some baking and batch cooking.

Hope all you lovely ladies have had a nice weekend :D

  • Oh skaps, I'm so so sorry, there are no words. Take care of yourself and your OH and remember we're all here for you. I know it's not much but :grouphug: xxx

Elephant - :hello: and welcome, as the others have said, sorry you find yourself here but I hope your stay is short :) Like Tam said, nothing is too long on here and feel free to ask whatever you like. All of us have been through a variety of different things so there's a heap of knowledge and advice on here. I've popped you on the list in the 'awaiting appointment' bit if that's okay with you xxx

shrimpy - good luck for Wednesday! Laura is spot on with the advice as well, ibruporofen, chocolate and a hot water bottle are the way to go :) xxx

chocoholic - glad the side effects have calmed down and you feel a bit better. I was told to drink lots of water and I didn't really get any really bad headaches, I just assumed I was lucky with the side effects but actually, you're right, it does make sense that the water was keeping the headaches away! I hadn't thought of that! xxx
