Afm, I'm on tenterhooks waiting for AF to show up. It's definitely imminent!! I'm really hoping it arrives tomorrow so I can do my first (ever!) self-injection of Gonal-f on Sunday, which would be much better than a weekday... Thanks for the best wishes xxxx

Nothing to report here, next appointment is next Tuesday.


Not seen much of OH this week, he got called in to replace his boss at a seminar in London, so he got to spend a couple of night in London. He took pure joy in telling me they got to stay in a top notch hotel and he got to take the company (posh) car, and then got took out for some swanky meal. All while I got to sit at home in the cold, boo.


Joined a Slimming group this week, its over 10 weeks. But I am now sodding starving on their diet. I usually have a problem with taking weight off, I don't tend to put it back on luckily, well not for the last couple of years that is. So hoping this gives me to boost I need at the moment.


Just tried one of those 'Balanced for you' M&S meals that are around 350 cals for a meal. Was pretty good, I was quite surprised (also helps when hubby gets them very cheap through work).

As for me I'm just plodding along but no luck as yet. I don't know if it's going to happen for us but can't bear the prospect of giving up completely.

Oh claretsgirl I don't have much discipline. There are a couple of things that keep me away from the bad stuff. 1. I live about 3 miles from the nearest shop. 2. I don't keep any choc in the house. 3. As I work from home I don't tend to really pop into any shops as don't really go out.
I have to mostly keep food in that lasts, which tends to be healthy. Boring though.


Arghhhh stealth period attach. How I hate them, though glad as hopefully it will mean that AF will have passed by the time of my appointment.

waiting for AF to come before I go in for a scan to then start ivf. Hope the injections arent too bad Floaty.

Last weekend my uncle asked me when I will have a child and I said I don't know. He then said why don't u know yr sister is a doctor and can give u medical advice
luckily my sister jumped in and told him not to talk about this. He made me so mad.

Floaty. I started my injections too today.. Had to get hubby to do it but wasn't too bad at all... Are you on Gonal F if you don't mind me asking??

Hi Emma, Yay us! How brave we are

Yes, I'm on day 2 of my cycle, day 1 of Gonal-f 225iu. Have to phone clinic tomorrow to book 1st scan. So far I'm feeling quite strangely business as usual about the while thing. The one thing that's slightly irritating is not drinking! We're just back in from a 5 mile amble and would usually stop in a pub for a shandy or two, but at least I had a nice hit chocolate and mini marshmallows at home

Hi floaty,
Good to hear from you. Hope things are going to plan... Ive had my first two injections and booked my scan for Thursday.. Second injection starts Thursday too
It hasn't been too bad so far but the injection did hurt a tiny bit more today!! I might be brave enough to take over the injections from tomorrow.. maybe.. how are things with you?
Hopefully it will be this straightforward next week for the both of us xxxxxx
