Primmer, thanks! I'm not getting my hopes up! I figured since they've doubled the dose this time that hopefully should equate to double the follies which means I should have at least 4 tomorrow with a bit of luck!
Pink, I totally know what you mean! We went up Snowdon a couple of years ago in what turned out to be some pretty awful conditions by the time we reached the summit. We were nice and dry in our waterproofs and hiking boots sipping coffee from our thermos flasks but there were some miserable looking people sat in the closed cafe (the train wasn't running due to the weather) in jeans and trainers! It is a mountain after all...what did they think the weather would be 1000m?!0 -

Your bill will be the same or less, depending on what sort of price you were planning to buy a house at. If you buy just a little above a previous stamp duty threshold (£125k, 250k....) you save loads.
It's not all good news at the moment, OH struggling to find a new car after the garage confirmed his was dead today, fuming he's only have it 6 months and its been nothing be a pain in the butt.
He can't use mine as I only have a little classic mini and it won't cope with the long distance. Luckily he can get lift this week, but he's going to have to find something fast. But that is the risk, if he buys something in a rush, chances are it won't last very long. And until the wage increase kicks in we can't afford much.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
vesper - for a cheap car I'd go for a Ford or Vauxhall with a full service history. Parts are dirt cheap and easily available for British makes so when you do inevitably have to do the odd repair it doesn't cost the earth.
Smookle - people just don't get how quickly the weather can change at altitude! Or how visibility can be zero if hill fog rolls in. Hubby did mountain leader training for scouts so he makes us carry all the safety gear.0 -
When does the payrise kick in? If it's just a week or so you could maybe consider hiring a car, then buying when you're not feeling so rushed and budget-squeezed.
Know the panic buying feeling. My car died the day before we moved house and had to go and find another one in under an hour. That was an expensive week!0 -
Had my scan today...the IVF nurse seemed hopeful. 4 follies on the right but the biggest is only 11mm and 3 on the left with the biggest being 13mm. They're going to rescan on monday and hopefully scheduling me in for EC on Wednesday but having sneaked a peak at the sizes I'm not confident I'm going to have all 7 eggs up to maturity by then...last time I had 5 that looked good and they upped my dose to get them to grow a bit more and I still only had 2 that matured. O well, even if the two biggest ones grow a bit more thats still 2 eggs they can take. And on the plus side, by delaying EC for a couple of days it means I don't have to do PG test on Xmas day anymore!!! Silver linings and all that..!0

Excellent news, smookle! It's a total quality over quantity situation.
I had loads of follies but loads of immature eggs and low fertilization. Lots of people get BFPs with just a few eggs. One is all it takes!
