Loving the shopping talk and of course the T-Rex picture. I am spending second day in bed due to awful migraine. Feeling really lousy and craving chocolate but nothing in the house!0

Vesper! Your run of good news continues! Have you seen the changes to stamp duty? Your bill will be the same or less, depending on what sort of price you were planning to buy a house at. If you buy just a little above a previous stamp duty threshold (£125k, 250k....) you save loads.0

Hi Everyone! It's been a busy couple of weeks!
Primmer, thats awful! Only ever had one migrane and I thought I was dying so sending lots of sympathy to you!
So I'm now on day 7 of a short protocol for IVF and feeling terrible : ( I'm so tired, it feels like I have constant period cramps and I'm feeling so low in mood. It's OH birthday today, and I stupidly decided to have my filling done and still can't feel half my mouth and I just want to curl up and cry instead of celebrating! I have my stimming scan tomorrow so I'm hoping for better news than last time when I only produced 2 follicles so they decided to abandon the attempt. I've decided this time that even if there are only 3 follicles, I'm still going to go ahead with collection etc because I am not putting myself through this again. In fact I'm having serious regret about having put myself through this again this time, but I'm not sure if thats me or the drugs talking! Sorry for the rant!0 -
Oh smookle, big big hugs. I remember that drug-addled feeling well and it's horrible. Have everything crossed that tomorrow's scan brings good news and you can get cracking with things. Happy birthday to your OH - are you going out or can you convince him that the best way to celebrate is a takeaway, a film and a blanket on the sofa?0

Thanks Tea, I really needed that! Unfortunately I think its out as we are both in a mountain rescue team and are meant to be going out for search and rescue training tonight followed by a couple of drinks in the pub with a few people from the team. Just want to stay in and cry at the moment!0

Oh, smookle.
I found the drugs horrendous for my mood too. I have so much sympathy for you my love. ((hugs))
As a hill walker, thank you so much for joining a mountain rescue team. It's a wonderful thing you do and I always donate to mountain rescue when there's a tin about. I saw two people being rescued by a team in the Lake District last summer (two separate incidents) and it brought it home. x0 -
Oh wow, that is some impressive hobby! That must be exciting, rewarding, and lots of other words lol.... probably quite scary at times too (or maybe I'm just a big wuss :rotfl:)0

Thanks Pink and Tea, I've only been a member for the last year and am still in training but my OH has been a member for nearly 5 years now and has seen all sorts! Because of where we are based, we often get used as an additional resource by the police in searching lowland areas as well so we see all sorts of things as well as missing or injured walkers. Its very rewarding to be part of such a great team, even if it is a bit of a struggle when its freezing cold and wet to haul ourselves out in the dark to tramp around a hillside for practice sessions every week! Usually I love it, but today I can't think of anything worse to do this evening!!! Wish they could make some stimming drugs that cheered you up instead of beating you down lol0

Smokle - sending big hugs your way, I really hope your scan shows more follies this time. Hope you can enjoy your few drinks tonight for hubbies birthday. Will keep you in my thoughts x0

Wow, smookle, I didn't know you had to practice weekly!
I get cross on your behalf when I see idiot walkers who have gone out without the right gear. Some of the popular peaks in the Lake District attract a lot of tourists in summer and we've seen people in completely inappropriate clothing and footwear, with no provisions. :mad:0
