Got that bit under control! Hubbie is on a train back from London so can't tell him for a couple of hours. I have never even had a sniff of a BFP before, I am meant to be packing the car ready to drive to cornwall this afternoon to go camping, instead I am staring at the tests :j

    Congratulations jammy26 !!!!!!!

One of the things I am most excited about is being able to tell my DH that I'm pregnant (I always imagine I'll test alone, first thing) so enjoy that moment when you finally speak to him!

Enjoy your camping weekend, fingers crossed the weather is good for you.

  • Woo Jammy! I'm with tea - defiintely run around and do a bit of shrieking! Do a bit of this as well :j :j
Congratulations! (I'll update the lists :)) xx

danielley - with my first ICSI I had 10 days of stims but with my second ICSI I had 14 days. I think they like it to be at least 10 days but no more than 17 but it all depends on how well you respond to the drugs. Also, I can second the IVF Belief CD, very calming and kept me quite stress-free. xx

I've just added up (yes, I seriously do have spreadsheets with all of this on... don't laugh!) and I had 18 days of stimms the first time and 15 the second time. But they did say both times that it's often a few days less than that. My ovaries took ages to get going then went mad in the last day or so of stimms. Most people's ovaries are better behaved lol.

Congratulations jammy. Hope you have a stress free pregnancy.

Has anyone found that their friends have got weird over this whole infertility thing? I've got a friend and I told her that we can't have children and why and she told me to read 'The Secret, (multiple times). I pointed out that reading a book wasnt going to suddenly make DH produce sperm or develop a way to deliver it and now she doesn't bother with me. It's not like she avoids me or anything she just doesn't make the effort to get in touch anymore. Feeling really hurt by itm

    Congrats Jammy!

I am hopping mad, OH went to doctors without speaking with me (although I had said to him "I bet you leave all these IVF forms sitting around until I pester you to do them" so I think he decided to take action) and told the GP our blood tests were for private IVF. Now they wont do them and the clinic want to charge £530 for doing them :(:(:( Its bad enough the NHS wont treat me, but this is a massive insult.

Do you think if I go to the walk in clinic and ask for them they will just do them, I think they might!
  • Oh pickle, bl**dy men eh? This is exactly the sort of thing my DH would do. Got to be worth a try at the walk in clinic. Good luck xx

Congratulations Jammy!! :D Hope its plain sailing for you from here on in.xx
