Sorry mega moan coming up, feel free to ignore :(

Iv'e spent over 4 hrs trying to sort out my menopur. The stupid company never pick up the phone and when they finally do they have no clue what there doing.

I spoke to the emergency Dr last night and she very kindly got my clinic to put some Menopur asisde for me to pick up. I hate everything about the hosp and it being a couple of hr round trip adds to the hate. Anyway I got there and only to find they have put aside enough for 2 days only. Had todays dose there and then after tommorow im out again. My clinic have lent me the Menopur so when I finally get my Menopur iv'e got to replace theres. I know wheat my bodys like, if I stop injecting im just going to start bleeding all over again. Im so low its untrue and the stress isn't helping at all.

T2D has been so much more help then the stupid medics or the company delivering the drugs (or ment to be) why oh why can't people do what there paid to do.

At my old hosp I used to get the drugs from the pharmacy but they don't at the new hosp as they refuse to stock them due to the cost, !!!!!! is a big London hosp its not like knowone needs them.

Im getting to the pint where im ready as my dh said to write this off as a bad idea :(

OMG PM, your treatment has been absolutely shocking. Is there a PALS team at the hospital that you can phone today? This is outrageous and you should make a formal complaint. In the first instance though, I desperately hope you can get your drugs so you can carry on this cycle of treatment. To have to abandon it for that reason is just unforgiveable. I'm so mad on your behalf!!

AFM, I've made a huge mistake, ladies. I looked up Dr. Google.

Used ov. sticks this month and I didn't get a strong line until yesterday, which was CD18 (last month it was CD16). The trouble is, my cycle is only 24 days. I made the mistake of googling "short time from ovulation to period" and of course I found all this stuff from the US about "luteal phase defect", and now I'm convinced that's why we can't conceive!

Despite the fact that I read that doctors in the UK don't believe in it and it's not well supported by evidence. PLUS, we've had all the investigations and my hormones have been tested at various times of the month, and all came back normal. Including CD21 progesterone, which would surely have been off if I ov too late?

Despite TTC for three years I've only just started using ov sticks. We just tried throughout the month. I didn't want to be in that "Look! Quick! Now" situation. I am slightly wishing I'd used them earlier so that I could have asked the doctors about my DPO being short. At least for peace of mind. US websites say that if you do get knocked up with a luteal phase of less than 10 days, you'll miscarry. That's not universally true, is it??

Of course I'm now thinking about that extra-long AF I had a couple of months ago which the GP said could have been a very early m/c. I didn't POAS that month as AF started bang on time, but now completely paranoid the same thing will happen this month.

Hate Google. Hate my lack of willpower with it.

    Pink

I don't know much about luteal defect but I think there's a b bit that's supposed to help? Try to keep away from dr google aswell, easier said than done but its often more of a hindrance than a help.

I've already been through one complaint with the hosp which got me pretty much knowhere :( my stomache is in knots with worry. I'm back to the hosp again today for a scan, 5 weeks today and I'm pretty sure nothing much will be happening.doesnt help I'm not sleeping much ATM either.

Oh, PM. :( Nothing much else I can say - just so angry on your behalf!

At least you've got a scan today - can you complain about the drugs and say you need a decent supply today, to see you through until the delivery comes?

Just delurking to offer some advice (I hope no-one minds) I do still stalk to keep an eye on how you're all doing x

I was another one with a short lp I could start spotting as early as 6DPO to start with but I tried Agnus casts and Vit B6 and that seemed to lengthen it to 9 or 10 days some months. It took a good 5 or 6 months to get there but I'm convinced it helped me. I used the H&B ones not the cheapest but at least I trusted them to contain what they said they contained.

As for it being an automatic MC I did have 2 really early ones over my first year ttc but the month I went for my day 21 bloods which showed my progesterone was borderline/low (I think it was 14ish) was the month I was pregnant with this sticky bean so it's certainly not an automatic doomed prognosis.

Dr google is scary especially when the American websites say that without extra progesterone you don't stand a chance, and as you say UK doctors won't prescribe it. I even started to look into importing it from America (silly silly purcy) and paid to join an online GP to try and get a prescription (epic fail) but in the end it proved to be third time lucky regardless and she seemed determined to stick around for the long haul.

    Hope thats helps a little?

    biggest hugs to all x
