Yep same fs.
Im so bloated and uncomfortable and dont even see the point of my scan today0 -
Wow, thanks everyone for such informative responses. It's certainly given me a lot to think about.
It pains me to say it but we've decided to delay until Jan 2015. I'm still in my early 30s plus I have extremely high AMH levels currently and no reason to expect this to fall off a cliff. I've spoken to the clinic and they are happy to put a note on my file after I explained the extenuating circumstances.
I know in my heart of hearts I'm not mentally fit to take on another cycle just now. I also work for such a small team (3) that I don't want to jeopardise my excellent working relationship with my boss by lying when it would be obvious what I am doing given the time off needed for scans etc. Even the early scan times impacted on my being at work because of my usual start time / time required for travel from clinic to the office.
I have to say that my work have been very accommodating but fertility leave is just not something that is offered simply because of the size of the company. I just don't think it's come up before tbh. I travel across the country and having to attend scans on fixed days meant that I was effectively no use to my team for a lot of the time even if I wasn't actively taking leave on those days.
Obviously having a family is my number 1 priority just now but I suppose in the meantime I can plan a holiday to recover mentally from last round, hope that OH finds another job and BD like mad in the search of an elusive BFP!
PM The courier needs a good hard slap!
Edited to add: I should add that this next cycle would also be our last NHS funded one so want to make sure that I am mentally and physically ready to give it our very best shot as we can't afford to pay for private treatment.
I didn't want to jump in before, but I think this is a good plan. I underestimated how important it is to be physically healthy before pregnancy. I am grateful everyday that this IVF worked, but I am in a fair bit of pain from back/hip ache and I also managed to put on best part of a stone across two almost consecutive IVF cycles. I wish I was stronger and fitter, and had dealt with a few muscular niggles beforehand as they all become worse. Plus the additional weight puts me at risk of diabetes etc.
Apart from that I think the mental break, with the comfort that there is a plan in place, is really helpful for your mental health.0 -

Hi all. Sorry for not posting much recently, I am reading everything about everyone though (even about our graduates!) I am struggling with my emotions at the moment - trying to be positive that I will be a clomid success but anxious and angry about it nothing having worked so far. Anyhow, I am thinking and following you all.0

Woop woop PM, that's excellent news! I'll keep all my bits crossed for you on Saturday xxx
Isla - that sounds like a good plan, in the end, it's whatever feels to you like the right thing to doxxx
So sorry to hear your news carrot, huge hugs for you xxx
Hugs to you cwtw, Clomid does work for some people so I'll keep my fingers crossed it works it's magic for you xxx
AFM - we saw the counsellor lady yesterday, it wasn't like I expected really and I left the appointment thinking "well that hasn't helped at all". Now we've had a bit of thinking time though, with hindsight, it was helpful and she did talk a lot of sense!
We've come up with a plan of action - have a third go at ICSI in the autumn (GV we might be cycle buddies!) and use the summer to try and forget about TTC, enjoy our holidays and we're going to get a few things done with the house. Hopefully October time, we'll come back refreshed and raring to start again0 -
