emmaj, I believe that a positive is a positive! Its very unusual to get a false positive test, you are far more likely to get a false negatiive.
And I have read that the cheaper tests are even more accurate than the more expensive ones as they are more sensitive and tend to pick up the pregnancy hormone quicker!

Mrsvicx -- Im about to go for my co-ordination appointment for ivf tomorrow! i just did another one and it said the same result! the reason why I don't believe it is because on monday i did one at a clinic and it was negative. My period is due today or tomorrow. I haven't told the hubby yet but still won't believe until it gets confirmed! thanks for your quick response though x

Just delurking to give a big hug to FP and GTS, I'm so sorry about your news. It is truly heartbreaking.

EmmaJ, I had a cross on one of those cheap sainsbury ones (if you wanted to look back I posted a pic up a month or so ago)and it was a BFN so I would say they are v unreliable! Get a FRER if you can, pink ink better than blue apparently. Hope this is it for you :)

Thanks part mouse. Am going Friday to get confirmed.
Well we used conceive plus. Had intercourse 4 times over the five days. We are walking around really shocked. I guess we were more relaxed. X what I tend to is go to about 20 websites and use the ovulation calculator. Then work out the most popular dates to conceive. This time was 5/6/8/9 may. Maybe we did it early just to make sure maximum impact xx
