It's OK PM - the GP was reassuring and I'm not worried now. She prodded my tum to make sure nothing was tender and asked lots of questions.

I asked about the fibroid and she said the bleeding was unlikely to be caused by that as it'd cause heavy bleeding. She also said I really didn't need to worry that the fibroid was actually anything nasty as she said that if any of the people who've seen it on u/s had had any concerns then they would have investigated it.

I didn't feel fobbed off - she genuinely seemed convinced it was hormonal or m/c. I do think I'll be testing the day before AF every month now as I wish I knew which it was!

Does it sound really awful if I say I'd prefer it to have been a very early m/c than just my hormones playing up? In three years of TTC I've never had a BFP or any hint of pg symptoms. I'd actually be really happy to know my body has worked out what it's meant to be doing, even if I have just had a little bean that wasn't sticky. If I'd tested, got a BFP then had this bleeding I'd have been really upset, but having not had the BFP in the first place, and with it being so early stage (when I know m/c's are extremely common), I don't quite feel like I've lost anything. Does that all sound really odd? This whole thing is such a head-messer.

pink no it doesn't sound awful at all.Wanting to know whats going on wihen something unusual happen to us is just natural imo.

Bleeding for long a long time is pretty wearing esp if its unexpected. Glad to hear though that you don't feel fobbed off. I hope the bleeding stops for you soon.

It's very light so not feeling any ill effects. Have started taking cod liver oil as I read (probably an old wives tale) that it can help with hormone regulation.

Just remembered that I meant to check with the GP that it was OK to take it will TTC but I forgot.

EDIT: B*gger. Just googled and netmums says no cod liver oil when TTC as meant to cut down on Vitamin A, d'oh! At least I've only taken it for two days.

GTS - We'll almost be EC buddies! They've put mine back to Wednesday with a few more days of stimming to let the smallest follies catch up. There's 9ish on one side and 6 on the other, a couple at 17 and 19mm but most about 14/15mm. Another scan on Monday to check!

tea - huge hugs to you and good luck with the job search. I work in admin too and pink is right, there's so many transferable skills with it. The right job is definitely out there, it's just finding/networking your way into it! xx


pink - snap! I work at a Uni too. Sorry the GP wasn't much help although at least they aren't too worried so it can't be anything bad - although I know that's still incredibly frustrating! xx

AFM (or rather, AF DH) - he had his varicocele repaired today. Weirdly although it's (obviously) in his balls, they actually go down through an artery in the neck to get to it! He said it feels better already (altthough he now has neckache...) - not sure what it'll do (if anything) to his SA on Wednesday for EC!

Gah, this all hurts so much today. Sometimes I do manage to forget briefly and then the whole horrid situation hits me again. Realised how stressed I am with it all as not sleeping properly

pink glad you got on okay at the doctor's and got some sort of response. Typical that AF started to act up when you need it to behave!
