Thanks for pointing this out - can I ask a favour from EVERYBODY reading this forum please.

We need to get as many people as possible pointed to this link - please also include it on your Facebook and Twitter pages - it is time the customer showed that we are not cashcows there to be milked by these big businesses, there are laws to protect us - and we are going to have them enforced!

If you spot any other sites with an article on the rise let us all know so we can post as per the above there aswell
Posted a comment as requested :)

Just thought of an interesting point of law. If you don't accept the new T&Cs - for any reason- win or lose the CISAS case -which T&Cs apply to you The contract says that you accept the chamge if you don't contact them before they come into effect -and you did reject them so what happens????

That's a very good question. I was thinking along the same lines??
  • HI

I have a letter from Orange advising that my monthly contract is going up by 2.7% from 28th May 2014.

Has anyone tried to cancel their contract and won with any provider?

    Thanks in advance
  • posted on that site as asked, also shared a comment with all my facebook friends and have asked them to share it on :D

Yes - T-Mobile (me and several others), some have won against O2 and others are still going through the courts, I have won 2 cases against Orange that the they can not increase prices in a fixed term contract, and many others have escaped their Orange contracts.
Please use the forum in the link below for how to escape your contact.

This only applies to contracts entered into AFTER 23 Jan 2014 - however if you go to the" price rise - cancel your contract" forum you'll see how we can still use this too our advantage - when I upload a template letter later today.

    RC,

Just to clarify, for people who have contact orange regarding the change in terms of contract and who are now dealing with cisas, should we be sending an email rejecting the price increase & asking for Penalty free cancellation?

Just want to check before i send off the emails!

I assume your template from the other thread is fine to use but just to add that it's pending the resolution of the existing claim?

    Many thanks!

I think we all owe you a beer!!

How much can they charge for PAC after the end of the contract?
Can they charge a contract termination charge after the end of the contract?
