I will complete the CISAS application before pursuing SCC. I'm new here and I don't want to sound like the friendly neighborhood cynic... But, I just don't hold much faith in this whole CISAS claim going anywhere. The whole CISAS process seems like a formality to give the consumer the illusion that they some way of executing their rights without going to court. It's a long ordeal, in the process it buys EE some more time to hire a bunch of lawyers.
I can't see CISAS playing this in our favor. It would put EE at a massive financial loss if they have to allow all eligible customers the right to cancel penalty free. OFCOM, CISAS and EE are probably all in this together. The responses that we have received were probably initially drafted by EE and OFCOM while Olaf and Lynn played a round of golf and shared thoughts over iced tea!
I think that we will have more luck with SCC. EE will probably settle as soon as they receive a court summons. They cannot risk losing and it getting out there in the media. They probably hope that many people will just give up after CISAS lets them down...
I was unaware that I could raise a SCC without paying off the remainder of my contract. I thought that I would have to pay the contract off and then claim the money back. I'm glad that this is not the case as now I don't have to sell my Kidney on eBay!
Thanks for the advice guys. It is appreciated. I will have a proper read up over the weekend and draft my response to CISAS based on your guidance

I'm glad we saved you. Else I am pretty sure it would have been EE who bought your kidney off eBay and then sell it off for a bigger profit in their underworld market to make up their cisas and scc losses!

CISAS have now acknowledged my response and appointed an adjudicator. The strange thing is the person who has been appointed does not appear on the list of adjudicators on the CISAS website!?

Try searching for their name - I found mine on the CISAS website and another couple of adjudication schemes. It could be their website is a little out of date.

Well I've just had the following from CISAS:
Further to our previous correspondence, we write to advise that the original appointed adjudicator is unable to make a decision in the above matter due to unforeseeable circumstances and therefore a substitute adjudicator has been appointed.

    The parties are advised that

    xxx

has been appointed as adjudicator and that all of the case papers received have been forwarded for consideration.

We will contact you again on receipt of the adjudicator’s decision. In the meantime, either we or the adjudicator may contact you for further information if they require any clarification on any of the issues contained within the case papers.

Don't suppose it'll make much difference, but I'd be interested to know the unforeseeable circumstances.

Darn my timing was a little off - I thought it would apply from 9th May!!

For anybody who has yet to submit a CISAS claim you can use this as evidence as to the reason why EE changed its T&Cs.

Just started reading this thread after receiving another hike letter from Orange/ee. Im on 24 month contract which comes to an end in June this year. I am just going through thread and see what I can do.

Month ago I had to decrease my costs and moved me to a plan which is only 5 cheaper. I just want out.
