This was the email I received after the phone conversation. He promised he would have some information for me to review before our conversation on Sunday as he is off work until then.Hi Mr xxxxxxxxxx,Hoping all is well.Following our conversation earlier today, I am sending this email as a sign of commitment in pursuing a resolution to your query.I have consulted with our Executive Offices, by way of a coleague, to fully check all possible options that we have for you.I currently do not have a response just as yet but I am possitive that within the next 24 hours that we should receive one.Our conversation this coming Sunday is set at 5 in the afternoon and I will be able to discuss the details by then as our email can only be accessed whilst in the premises of our office. We are hoping that we maintain our business with you and that the outcome be fruitful to both parties.Wishing you a great weekend and will speak to you soon!Respectfully Yours, xxxxxxxxxxOps ManagerOrange UK PayM Transact
Surely they would not be doing this unless they thought i was right?
My initial argument was that nowhere in the T&C does it say i must accept new changes or alterations UNLESS it is enforced by legislation.
Secondary argument is the material detriment. He advised me that my price plan WOULD be affected by any price rises and wishes to strike a deal so that and increases in the future do not put me in a material detriment.0 -
Oh, I see. It used to be this:This is the companies final position and it refers the right not to enter into any further discussion with regard to this matter.
And now:We are hoping that we maintain our business with you and that the outcome be fruitful to both parties.
I wonder why? :T"Retail is for suckers"

That is different to the terms currently up on the EE website here.

I have also received this letter two days ago so have sent off the first email which i did as soon as i started reading the 2nd page.
I deleted the t-mobile/EE bit as i am on orange but didn't delete the clauses for the other companies or request a read receipt. Will I be better off resending the email with the incorrect clauses deleted and requesting a read receipt please.
I have read all through the thread and am prepared to go all the way to cisas if i have to as i am fed up of them putting up prices part way through contracts and changing t&c's as and when they feel like to suit themselves.
I have been to cisas twice before for a completely different matter and won both times.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and especially thanks to RandomCurve as your knowledge and help is excellent0 -
Here are EE's accounts for 2012/13 - clearly showing that the company is in DIRE financial difficulties (net loss of over £179 million - which explains their attitude ?
http://companycheck.co.uk/company/02382161/EE-LIMITED
On the plus side - EE can get up to £50,000 credit with no problems.
I wonder if they paid any corporation tax (like Amazon failed to ....)
Purely out of interest - does anyone have a login for this site ??
If so - could they drill down a layer and post the findings here ?0 -
Not sure what to do, i have sent 5 emails and not had a single reply. The last one sent was a notice before action. Do i just give 7 days then press ahead.
Thanks0 -

Have you received an automated MESSAGE READ ?
I suggest that you try putting "FAO Jim Phillips" in the subject
No guarantee - but it worked for me (eventually)0 -
The way I see it, they don't have to raise prices for you to be able to leave. The t&c state they can't change the t&c to your detriment.
The fact they are changing them to allow a future price rise is still to the detriment of the customer and therefore a breach of the t&c..
I've submitted a complaint today. I'll post when I have a response.
I agree. I just had a conversation with an EE Customer Service Rep over the phone and she told me I had to wait and see wht the RPI was this year. Actually I don't. Because no matter what it is this year it could increase in the future and lead to price increases on my contract under the new T&C's, which I don't agree to. I have a sent a complaint about this today.0 -

Have not got the automated Message Read. But it is still within the 7 days period. Hope that they will soon read and reply to my first complain email. Finger cross0 -
EE still playing hardball... goaded EE into replying and got the "will not enter into any further discussion" so I've gone down the CISAS route. Point of order, check the CPI/RPI dates folks!0
