This poor girl is clearly not getting struck off. Why don't you just leave it alone?
I do not want vets like her to treat other animals without undergonig further training. Would you like her to treat your pet if you have one?0 -
Dog magazine, which one I tell when and if it happens.
I call bluff.
If it was being considered by a magazine, unless they were offering you money, you would want to shout it from the roof tops, not hide it away.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Just wanted to say that I have managed to get media interest in my story
It seems that they are quite keen to get some comments from the RCVS regarding the letter I have send to them. This is not about just punishing the vet, I am not as some said on the witch hunt. Yes I would like it to be recognised that wrongdoing happened but the issue for me now is that the system we have does not protect our animal companions and us owners from negligence as negligent vets are allowed to stay in the profession without any punishment so they have nothing to fear. Yes mostly they are wonderful and caring people but if you leave the bad once in the system the profession will be loosing people's trust.
You are quite correct Hachette, but I'm afraid there are incompetent doctors in the system so there will certainly be some incompetent vets. Professionals of all kinds stick together and nothing will ever change that. How many doctors get punished for negligence? Not many compared to those that actually are....0 -

This is a response received from the magazine editor:
Thank you very much for your email. I am very sorry to hear of Maxie’s death, and particularly given the circumstances.
The Veterinary Surgeons Act gives the RCVS statutory powers to act only in cases of ‘disgraceful conduct in a professional respect’. This has been the case since 1966, and there is a good overview of what the College can and can’t do regarding complaints here: http://centrallobby.politicshome.com/stakeholder-websites/stakeholder-website-page/sites/royal-college-of-veterinary-surgeons/pages/what-type-of-complaints-the-rcvs-can-help-with/
I was up at the College yesterday for a day with members of the veterinary profession and representatives from animal charities, welfare groups, and others with an interest in animal care, so the RCVS could explain some changes that are going on there and ask for feedback.
One of the things they are doing to bring the profession up to date is creating a new Royal Charter, which will replace the current governing document. Today is the last day to submit thoughts and suggestions for what this should cover, so it might be worth sending your experiences and frustrations that they only act in circumstances of ‘disgraceful conduct’. I hope this email reaches you in time.
All the info of how to send your thoughts is here: http://www.rcvs.org.uk/news-and-events/news/consultation-on-proposed-new-royal-charter-launched/
I will be writing about the changes that are going on at the College in a future issue. Would you be happy for me to get in touch when I do this to explain to readers why you think change is needed?
In the meantime, if you would like us to send your email on to the College for a comment so we can publish both in our Postbag, please do let me know.
Best wishes,

They are not, then, it would appear, publishing a story on your case but rather inviting you to send comments in, which may or may not be published.
Not quite the same thing, is it?
And what you send will, no doubt, be edited and/or censored to protect the magazine in question from accusations of libel.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

So what is your point ?0 -
So what is your point ?
Valli's point is that the magazine is interested in hearing your opinion, and possibly publishing part of it on their letters page. They are not in publishing your story as a feature article, and will want to edit what you submit to them before they decide whether or not to publish. It is not, as you put it "media interest in your story".1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

And you know all that. Wowww0
