Why are people being so harsh to this lady? She has lost her pet. My dogs are like my children, they are my family. I don't know the circs, it may well be that the vet hasn't done anything wrong, but there is no need to be so awful when she is clearly going through a tough time.

There are about 60 pages of threads by this lady about this situation. She has ignored 90% of the help and advice offered here and every time her threads get closed or moved! she just opens another one.
The first thread had several posts removed from it, so it no longer reads quite as clearly as it originally did. These threads have been going on for over 4 months now and any advice which does not tally 100% with what she wants to hear is given short shrift.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

    Hachette,

I really don't understand how you can be shocked by their replies. You presented your evidence to them and they found that there was no action by the vet which should give rise to sanctions against her. Unless you present them with new evidence then their reply will remain the same - predictable and not at all shocking.

Whilst I don't for one minute question the huge distress the death of your pet has caused you I do think that your views have become distorted during this campaign to gain acknowledgement of possible errors in his treatment. Do you really think that your vet undertook years of very expensive training for any reason other than that she also loves animals and wants to help them? Likewise the veterinary nurses who assisted her? My god-daughter is a veterinary nurse and she has trained for several years, is poorly paid and often works unsociable hours. She does it because she loves animals and I know how much it hurts her when she has to assist in putting an animal down or if it dies whilst they are trying to save it. There will always be incompetent people in every profession but the majority will be trying their hardest to do the best job they can so please don't let your sad experience colour your perception of the vast majority.

    No; you don't.

She has posted THREE threads now... we are not being harsh - not all of us, anyway. There is genuine concern now for the lady in question (well, there has been for a while) because she is unable to accept any decisions with which she is not in agreement - and she is going to make herself ill if she carries on, I fear.

Are you qualified to suggest this treatment?

Oh come on - it's a suggestion Hachette; not advice. You are unable to accept the decisions handed down, by your own admission. You seem unable to move on from these unfortunate events so a perfectly valid suggestion has been made. You are NOT going to get the outcome you seem to think is 'right'; the vet will continue to practice.

What's the point of this thread, other than to share the decision you are 'gobsmacked' by?

Did you REALLY think there would be an outcome that suited you?

You have been advised to 'move on'. If you are unable to do that independantly then therapy would be both a perfectly sensible step and a better use of your available funds.

I hope the OP now concentrates on dealing with her loss, rather than pursuing what was always an unwinnable fight.

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times on the many other threads, but Hachette, have you never considered for one second that you are wrong in this?

This poor girl is clearly not getting struck off. Why don't you just leave it alone?

She could not read my dog's blood result she carrierd on with surgery that in the view of blood results he had no chance to survive. She send him back to me while he was bleeding .What else do you want me to say to support( not) my vet action? I am and always will be :mad:and

Round and round the mulberry bush we go!

For those arriving late, a resume.

OP lost her pet dog, due to an unforeseen injury.

OP has not got over it.
