  • Great to see you so upbeat today, Emz :j

(Funny! Something has gone wrong with my smiley selection on MSE. The only way I could get them to work on here was to drag and drop. Something has stopped merely clicking on them from working. Anyone else had any trouble with smilies lately please ?)

The promise of retail therapy (especially when someone else is kindly paying:j) does the trick for most people. I hope you see and buy something really lovely, you deserve it.

Thanks everyone - really looking forward to seeing what I can get in Jane Norman tomorrow.

I've earned my £20 on the questions today, so will do some surveys now.

Managed to get one of those free Malteser bunnies from Tesco. Will print my voucher out later on.

  • Just stopping in to say hi Emz!

So glad you're doing better now. You totally don't need to feel guilty, or like you've let yourself down by struggling to get your daily target. I think the whole idea of daily targets are prone to disappoint to be honest. You need to give yourself some flexibility and don't feel like you NEED to reach them else you've "failed". That's not the case at all. With everything else you have to deal with, you are doing amazingly.

£20 a day still amounts to a tidy sum at the end of the month, and is much easier to reach. Still, don't feel like you're pressured to get that. Just do what you can, when you can. Do a bit when you feel like it, and if you get to £20 and still feel good, then keep going. Perhaps doing that rather than moving onto surveys would be better - you've said yourself, the money you get from questions is much more rewarding than surveys for the time put in.

Anyway - we're all rooting for you here & very proud of your achievements so far. Keep it up, and you know where we are if you need us! xxx

    Evening

Had a good day out in Basingstoke, but didn't get anything (except for a £7 top in Jane Norman which my sister paid for). I couldn't find a coat that I liked, so didn't pick one just for the sake of it. I'm sure I'll get some birthday money next week, so will save it and spend it on something I really want.

My sister bought a lovely dress from Jane Norman for a wedding she's going to in the summer, so it was a worthwhile trip. I might even be able to borrow it from her one day (the beauty of being the same size as her - we often swap clothes and shoes).

We had lunch in Pizza Hut, which was nice, but we were gutted when we found a Wimpy restaurant later on (they were everywhere when we were younger and I always remember it was a treat for me to go there after hospital appointments).

I received the £10.10 from TCB and requested around £9.50 from Textbroker. I haven't done anything else work wise today - but that's okay. I've taken a day out to relax and I'm not going to feel guilty about it.

Back to it tomorrow though ;)

  • Isn't it always the way that when you have costs covered, you can't find something you really want.

    Afternoon :)

Questions done for the day, so I'm up to £200. I've also earned £5 on Valued Opinions and claimed £3 from My Survey.

Off to watch some Nectar Adpoints videos.

Morning - hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend :)

I took a day off yesterday, supposedly to spend it with OH, but he went off to get something from his mate in the afternoon (in my car), so I walked to the local shops. It's only a 20-30 minute round trip, but I'm glad I did it. I got a bit puffed out going up some sloped roads, but apart from that I was okay. OH was pretty amazed when he came back to see I had gotten some stuff from Tesco. I think part of him still suspects I got a taxi!!

We have also joined the gym (I think my physio will faint when I tell her!!). It's costing £15.99 a month each and we can cancel at any time. I'm going to try and go at least twice a week to see how I get on. Hopefully it will improve my lung function.

Went out for a drink with some friends last night too.

Making the most of my peace and quiet right now as OH's parents are visiting next week :(. They are arriving Tuesday evening and going home Thursday. At least they aren't around on my birthday though.

    Emz xx
