And quite right on the meals out and takeaways. You're cleaning, tidying and providing lodgings. I am currently trying to get some sleep on the sofa!! When OH sleeps in the bed, my side of the mattress is rock hard as he pushes it down on his side. Then I had him heavy breathing in my ear and to top it off Foghorn Leghorn sounds like a tractor in the next room!!
Anyway, the mattress was really hurting my ribs so couldn't take anymore. I've been awake for the past two hours.
After what I said about the takeaways, OH's parents picked him up from the station and they came home with fish and chips - which OH paid for!!! I was fuming. They want to go out for a meal tonight which they are apparently paying for as my birthday meal, but when I suggested TGIs they looked horrified. Guess that's too expensive for them. Will probably end up at McDonalds instead!!

Hi emz, hope you get caught up on your sleep. Pepsi will be my friend today. I only got another 2 hours sleep on the sofa. OH said this morning 'It's all in your head. I just don't understand why you can't get any sleep in the bed with me'. What a stupid comment. He's never going to understand as he's never going to weigh 8 stone and I'm never going to weigh 20 stone!! He's not going to experience sleeping on a rock hard mattress because your OH is so heavy he's pushing his side down and my side up. Flaming idiot.
Anyway, I think I've sorted the meal issue out tonight. I joined Frankie and Benny's birthday club and if I print out the email, I get a free main meal. That should satisfy his parents that they are saving money by not paying for me.
They have gone out for the day, so I've got a bit of peace and quiet. Will go to my mum's in a bit for lunch.
I did the Nectar offer on the weekly email this morning, so hopefully 1,000 points will be winging its way to me soon.

I think I'm going to resurrect my bed fund. It's a must. OH and I desperately need a bigger bed. I've tried before, but I need to remember how horrible it is trying to sleep in our current bed together.
I don't think it will take me long to save up enough for it. This is the one I want, so I only need to save up £255. I've already got £15.83 in my account and another £5 pending, so need another £235. I think I could easily save that by the end of May.
I just signed up to the Nectar eShops newsletter for another 100 Nectar points too.

Hey Emz
Is your birthday today? Happy birthday! I hope you have a good meal out without too much drama.
Just an idea on the bed situation... not sure how it would work in practice, but maybe you could consider a king size frame but with two single mattresses on? Then neither side will affect the other. either that, or two single divans pushed together, stick a king size fitted sheet over them and voila. Something to consider anyway, because even if you do get a bigger bed, the weight distribution still may be an issue.

Thank youNot my birthday until Friday though, but fortunately his parents would have gone home by then
. My mum and sister are taking me out for a Toby Carvery on Friday
.
We have thought about two singles, but I think all we really need is a bigger bed. In our old flat, we had a king sized bed and it was fine. We sold it as the flat we are in now is furnished, but we really wish we had kept it now.

Grrrr, OH's parents are hanging around like a bad smell at the moment - wish they would just go. There's only so much small talk I can make.
They paid for the meal last night, but mine was free, so technically they only bought me a drink for my birthday. I'm going out for 2 meals tomorrow - Toby Carvery at lunch with my mum and sister and then Prezzo in the evening with friends - yummy!! Will be sure to put more weight on me before my hospital trip next month.
OH slept on the sofa bed last night so I could get a decent night's sleep. I couldn't handle another sleepless night.

Emz, My OH & I are very different weights too, ask in the bed shop about how the mattresses are sprung, a cheapy one is no good at all, and you will end up replacing it again in no time. It might be a better bet to have two singles on a king size or superking base. Try out the beds in the shop before you buy, and dont be shy about turning over and bouncing about a bit. Nothing worse than not getting a good nights sleep. xIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0
