The feel of anything dusty or powdery on my hands. I have acrylic nails and when I get them done I have to keep rubbing the filed dust off myself every time the manicurist lets go of my hands!
I'm another one not feeling the love on public transport - can't you set the alarm an hour earlier and get it out of your systems before leaving the house rather than inflicting all that slurping on other passengers?!?
I'm weird because I like ticking clocks, the rhythm of the ticks lulls me to sleep by giving me something to concentrate on, in a silent room I'll lie there thinking and not be able to shut my mind off.
Vegetables, I like the taste but can't stomach them as the texture makes me sick.
People who cannot sit or stand still give me the rage. I feel angsty just seeing someone jiggle and fidget non-stop. Even worse on crowded public transport when they are bumping you as they bounce about and fiddle with the contents of their bags and pockets. Just. Sit. Still!Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -

I can sit still at home or on the train for hours but can't on planes, I find the seats too restrictive, I'm six foot with very broad shoulders and don't fit the seats.
I once went on a business trip to San Francisco with a colleague from work. She ended up begging the cabin crew to move her because I couldn't stop fidgeting and she was on the verge of killing me.:A
She told me that there was no way she was sitting near me on the return flight and if she could change to a different flight she would.

The only one I have which has no real logic, so may be odd, is people invading my personal space. In checkout queues those behind standing so close they are touching me.
Being a bloke this one is dead simple to fix. I simply reach behind me to get my wallet out of my back pocket. This entails my elbow sticking out, try it.
Anyone too close gets the elbow in the stomach and the wind knocked out of them. I then apologise, "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise you were so close, you really should give people some personal space then that wouldn't happen.". :A
If it's someone old or frail I don't but I do ask them in loud voice if they'd like me to loosen my trousers so they can climb in and get even closer. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
I think those here who won't tread on two tiles in succession of the same colour or who have to have numbers in odds, are rather special.
I don't think I have any oddities at all, which matches the beige me.
What about those who have to have numbers in evens? Are they special too?
:rotfl:
You've listed many oddities, just face it, you're special like the rest of us!

Ergh, I hate the kissing thing as well, it only happens with certain family members, but I just freeze and grimace. Can't respond at all, I'm not even sure how to respond. Do you kiss back? If so, why? Where? Cheek? It's way too touchy and close for my liking.
I hate the kissing thing too, unless it's my OH or parents. I used to live in France and hated the fact that they kiss you all the time.
I am another one who has to have bank notes facing the same way in my purse. They also have to be in order i.e. £20's together then any £10's on top of those then any £5's on top of those. It really annoys me that cash no longer comes out of cash machines with the notes all facing the same way.
When I worked in a shop every time the till opened I would have to tidy the notes so they were all the same way in their compartments. I tried to stop myself doing it (I thought it probably looked quite suspicious and people might think I was trying to steal) but I just couldn't stop as it annoyed me too muchThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
I also hate the noises people make. I always have to put my headphones in on the train and go mental when people sit there sniffing the whole journey or chewing gum (or eating with their mouth open (eating at all in fact!),
What with the snoring and 'other boys' noises', he's in the spare room most nights
Snoring is hell. Never used to bother me so much, but can't sleep next to a snorer now.
Jx
You'd hate my DH then! The way he eats sweets is like nothing else I have ever known before, I've never known anyone to eat sweets as noisily as he does. Its a wonder he hasn't dropped dead on the spot the amount of times he's had the death stare of me. It isn't just me that it annoys though, his work mates have commented on it too.
He also snores like a trouper too, so I bounce on the bed to stop him in his tracks! :A I love it when he sleeps in the spare room when he's on call.0 -
I like kissing.
.
Its quite obvious though when I'm cool towards a person and don't move to kiss them.0 -
I also can't stand the sound/sight/feeling of me or someone else rubbing their hands together.0

I hate the feeling of things touching my nails. Or seeing other people pick at the their nails. The worst is that sound nails make when typing on a keyboard - yuck. My OH used to run his thumb over my nail when holding hands, sometimes from the fingertip back over which made me feel physically sick. He nearly got a thump each time he 'forgot' I hate it beyond all things.
I used to cut my nails as short as possible, but I'm getting a bit better and can now grow them a bit as long as I have lots of layers of nail varnish to 'protect' the nail. Still can't really touch much with them though without feeling ill.
I used to drive myself wild with getting songs stuck in my head, and going over and over them while regulating my breathing to the beat of the song. It was horrible when it was a fast paced song, and stopped me sleeping on a regular basis.0 -
Can't stand to touch finely grooved surfaces like old style records or the edges of some coins - the very thought makes me go all hot and cold.
Can't stand being anywhere near razor blades, very sharp knives or broken glass.
...and maggots -yuck, yuck, yuck!! - can stand any amount of untidiness and even utter filth {which is lucky considering the work that I do} but the smell and look of maggots gets me heaving:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
