rubbing pillow case corners, the tops of back jean pocket corners, and the seams at the bottom of the legs, all of which although destructive, I find comforting. :o

I'm in shock!!! I thought I was the only one who liked to rub pillowcase corners! It can almost send me into a trance, and would often get me in trouble with my mum in the mornings :D

I have a few things that i think are just strange about me!

I dont drink hot drinks - and the idea of drinking out of a china cup gives me collywobbles! I was visiting and asked for a drink of water - was given it in a mug and couldnt drink it!

when stressed i bite the inside of my lip til it hurts :( - have a lot of stress just now and a huge callous inside my mouth

also bite the edges of my forefingers

i hate wearing socks! first thing i do when i get home is take socks off...

I have to not think about things like cash machines! or I would never get any money out! the idea of people with dirty hands freaks me out!
and as for using a public loo!! i use loo roll to open loo door - then wash hands, and either use paper towel or loo roll to open door back out!

I bite my lip too... and my forefingers. Not the nails though!

Socks, however I love. I dislike seeing toes. Anyones. Cover them up! I think I wear socks almost all year round apart from maybe 2 days in the summer on exceedingly hot days. :rotfl:

Public toilets - I am very fussy about these and have been known to walk out again rather than use one. This also applies to loos at work. _pale_

Ugh me too! I retch very easily, so if the smell is overpowering I'm outta there! I always tear off the first few bits of toilet roll, I don't want to be wiping with paper that others might have touched with god knows what on their hands. I always hover too, no way I'm sitting on a public toilet seat.

The other week, me and my Mam were waiting for the toilet. There was a unisex toilet and a disabled toilet, both were occupied, so we waited, and eventually this old women came out of the disabled one, her younger companion was like "you've been ages!", and straight away I'm not wanting to go in there (I know you shouldn't judge but!) and I'm like 'no after you' to my Mam and then I went in the unisex one. Outside virtually straight away I can hear my Mam talking to my Dad and I'm thinking 'that was quick'. When I got out I found out why....my Mam was like 'I couldn't go, that old woman had went all over the seat', and I'm like 'what? Pee?' my Mam just shook her head....so glad I didn't go in there!

I used to drive myself wild with getting songs stuck in my head, and going over and over them while regulating my breathing to the beat of the song. It was horrible when it was a fast paced song, and stopped me sleeping on a regular basis.

Me too. Had that Morrissey First of the Gang to Die song in my head the other night and it was going round and round and round... still there, but not as bad. Also have weird associations such as when I walk into a kitchen, I often sing Chasing Pavements or Pale Shelter (Tears for Fears). No idea why.

Me too. Love my slippers, but need bare feet in them. Would have to be frozen solid to shove socks on too. I am sometimes still in sandals in November, and usually start wearing them again from March/April. Anything over 15 degrees-ish is a definite for sandals unless it's peeing down. I would never wear boots in summer even if it was freezing/raining though.

Can't bear hearing people file their nails. When the girl opposite me at work does it I find an excuse to leave my desk or shove my headphones in. Wouldn't tell her (especially as I don't mind if I'm doing it myself, it's just hearing other people!).

Suppose this counts too... when I've had too much to drink, or if I'm falling-down-tired, I always get on my knees facing the settee and put my head on a pile of cushions and fall asleep on my knees while kind of cuddling the cushions under my head. It's like a natural instinct. Often woken up at say 3am with knees that will barely move and I have to stagger up to bed. I tried to do it when a friend was round once (the shame). I take no notice of my BF who tells I'll regret it!

Perusing a predominantly female board is akin to traversing a minefield on occasion, yesterday I felt queasy after inadvertently stumbling across the menopause thread and today this (there have been other instances).
Don't get me wrong, I find women's discussions intriguing and refreshingly candid, but is there nothing you won't address or comment on! :rotfl:

I read the above post as someone leaving poo on a toilet seat, not anything in particular to do with womens issues, if it was anything else then I stand corrected.

    That's exactly what I meant!
