Jeez... recognising more and more lol. Not going to list them all cos I really will be here forever.

Do wash my hands after doing everything when cooking like kezzygirl. I'm very fussy with the washing up and dishwasher, although tend to turn a blind eye now when the BF does it (or it'll give me heart failure - never seen such non-logic in my entire life and before the dishwasher (which he can't stack properly), he'd bung everything into the sink so that glasses that really weren't that dirty and probably only had water in were now covered in grease/film/skanky food). Yuck.

He chopped me up an apple this morning and cut it into segments and attempted to core it. I noticed a couple of dirty looking bits on so bit off most of the skin and left it, there were still some core bits showing and some of the 'nobbly end bits' were still showing on the edges of each slice so I had to snap them off too. By the time I finished with it, it looked like the cats had been playing with it for a week.

I also won't eat any burnt bits.

    Jx

I envy your memory! If all my stuff was not in some sort of order I would never find anything.

I have about 1,000 cd's and about 500 dvd's and if they were not in alphabetical order I would spend ages trying to find one and then just lose my temper

As ex professional musicians we have a rather large music collection. We also have a lot of dh's brothers old stuff (used to be a music critic for well known music magazine) so our cd collection is significant, As is our book collection. Neither have been alphabetised or Dewey systemed. They are ATM grouped by rough genre. With music this is pretty difficult Amanda we are talking about doing it differently when we unpack them this time.

I have a terrible memory, its actually a symptom of my medical problem, but I still just kinda know where what I want is most of the time. The fear of losing temper thing is partly why I don't want to give in to my foibles. I don't want to become inflexible and (more) difficult to live with than I already am!:o

Volume on TV or radio has to be an odd number-but only if I turn it up or down-I don't check it when I put it on. Unless I see someone else adjust it and then I have to change it to odd.
I eat right handed with a knife and fork but members of my family who are right handed always eat left handed.
I hate drawers and cupboard doors left open-I always shut them.
If I'm leaving the house and I can't visually remember locking the door I go and check.
I count stairs when I go up them
I hate pan handles sticking out on the hob-if Mt tc is cooking I go and turn all the handles in. Apart from anything else, it's dangerous.
Toilet roll end has to hang over the top not underneath.

  • Also, I like odd numbers of things (particularly 3,5 or 7) and having even numbers of something makes me feel a bit unsettled (particularly 4, I hate having 4 of anything and if there is 4 of something they can't be lined up next to each other but should be a 1 and a 3 or 4x1). I really don't understand how some people like even numbers.

Me neither! I've been reading all these and everyone but me had been putting even numbers, until now lol! :p The number 4 also makes me feel unsettled too. I sometimes wonder if the odd number thing comes from me having an art and photography background, where everything looks better in odd numbers? Things placed in odd numbers makes for a better photograph.

lol this made me laugh, especially the bit about the mint chocolate :D
The bit about the oranges is familiar as well...I absolutely HATE bananas! ! The texture of them makes me gag...so horrible and slimy :( but I love the banana sweet, banana bread, banoffee pie and banana milkshake is my favourite flavour!
Same way I love chocolate and can eat it all day...but I hate chocolate ice cream amd chocolate milkshake!!

I'm the same with bananas....can't eat one but love stuff banana flavoured lol

The pan handle and cuboard door closing is a safety and common sense thing to me tbh. Toilet roll comes from underneath though sorry lol

Re. Cupboard doors, I obsess about it as my grandma banged her head on a cupboard door and she went on to die of a brain haemorrhage a day later-I never met her as she died before I was thought of but my mum is paranoid about it and I think I get it from her.
Pan handles not sticking out is common sense, but I can't get that through to Mt tc or miss tc2

So how do you find the cd you want to play or the dvd you want to watch if they are not in order?

I play my music through my pc on spotify or through my tablet. Or through my ipod touch on my music system (Im a fitness instructor so have a sound system that can connect wirelessly to an ipod or an iphone). Much easier for me to have my music on my ipod than on cds, for teaching classes and listening to music at home.

I do have a DVD player that someone bought me as a present but I dont have a TV these days and I actually dont have many DVDs and cant remember the last time I watched one.

I dont think not putting stuff in alphabetical order matters much when you dont have many CDs or DVDs, it would obviously matter more if someone had thousands. My dvd collection doesnt even run to 20 DVDs.

I'm right handed but using my right hand for that is like wearing shoes on the wrong feet

My shoes go on right first, as do my socks. I put my right leg through my knickers, leggings, trousers, jeans or tights. If I get it wrong I have to start again. I iron the right leg of trousers first too.

I wonder if this is a left-handed/right-handed thing? I'm left handed, but only for writing, everything else I do right handed but I do put my left leg through my knickers, trousers, jeans and when putting on socks or shoes. I iron the left leg of trousers first.

I've been known to change the loo roll around in other people's houses because it's on the wrong way round. It HAS to be over the top not from the back.

    Agree 100%

Another thing of mine...I prefer wearing earrings and a necklace that match but if they don't match I won't look in a mirror because seeing they don't match annoys me :rotfl:

I do have my cds and dvds alphabetised, but that was for ease of finding them when they were in a rotating cabinet. They're still alphabetised, but live in binders now as I got rid of all the cd and dvd boxes when I moved. If they weren't it'd take forever to find them on the rare occasion I want to add different music to iTunes! I don't listen to music direct from cd anymore.

Books aren't at the moment - I left most of them behind when I moved, so we don't have that many now. Again, they used to be because my bookshelves were double-stacked so you couldn't see them all.

(My boyfriend keeps his games and dvds out of the boxes stacked in piles on the TV cabinet, which annoys me as they get all dusty! Can't find anything past the few most recently used, either. He also never closes the dvd boxes if they are still in boxes, leaving them stacked like open books until there's an avalanche).

When I'm nosing round the internet I have to go back to the top of the page before I hit the back button. If I go back without doing it then I have to go forward, go to the top of the page and then hit back.

Notes in my purse have to have be facing the same way with the Queens head to the right.

Well that's it for me, pretty boring really :o
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
