mine has cleared. Next step M and S0

i think you've answered your own question - it needs at least 2 DDs or SOs to qualify
Well, the bank account did have two SOs, but no DDs. I'll set up some "official-looking" DDs and retry - but my question still stands unanswered. It's a harder way to make that £100 than expected
.... And I'll not use "Flowers" as the memorable word. .0 -

It sounds as if you have been rejected an account at the Coop. The application for an account does not take into consideration whether you have DDs or SOs - it just looks at your credit files and one or two other databases such as the electoral roll, as well as any data the Coop might hold for you. You can ask the coop why your applications have been turned down but you will probably just get a wooly answer. Have you checked your CRA files, are they clean? Have you got a lot of other applications? Are you on the electoral roll at the address you used for your application?
Applying for the third time in such a short period of time is very unlikely to give you a different result. It will just add to the number of searches on your CRA files, which you may or may not be concerned about.0 -

That was my guess, but I checked my CRA between the two applications and it seemed OK - although there is indirect evidence of my opening other bank accounts. The third app is already planned to be in my wife's name, using an account which has been open for just over two years.
The only problem I thought that there might have been - because it has happened once before - is that our Royal Mail address differs from our Electoral Role address. My first previous app used the Royal Mail one, my second app used the address they used to reject the first app!!0 -
not received my £100 and it's been two months.
searched for this thread only to read the last few entries as being complaints.
the last time I joined the co-op, it was actually good.
this times it's late and is unacceptable. will be complaining.0 -

As it states on the switching letter if not received in 45 days to ring their telephone number. Simple!0 -
Hi all,
Is there anything to stop you closing this account immediately after the £100 switching bonus is received?
I know it was discussed earlier in the thread but can someone confirm the the £800 funding requirement can be a transfer from another account and doesn't have to be a salary or pension payment?
Many thanks,
Rich.0 -
You might want to keep this account to switch to another bank as and when there is one with a joining incentive. I am switching mine to M&S.
But if you wish, you can close it whenever you like.0 -
How long shall I keep the account for after getting the £100 before closing it down?0

You could check out post 399, the one immediately before yours?0
