Trust me, it would not have been the CEO who emailed you.

I would usually agree, but for the way it was set out and with who was copied in, it seemed genuine compared to other CEO responses I've seen.

In recent years more and more CEO have been answering emails themselves, I had a reply from Coop, CEO at 10.30pm on Friday

Still no incentive, even after the 10 working day deadline they promised. This bank is terrible. Going down the official complaint route.

It is their PAs answering these emails.

Not always - Some years ago I emailed Kent Reliance B.S - C.E, Email replies were most certainly from Mike Lazenby

I'm happy to announce that after numerous telephone conversations and an official letter of complaint I have been paid my £100 incentive exactly 83 days after my switch was completed.

Tomorrow I'll be sending a letter to close the account and never ever use the co-op again.

Why not switch the account to M&S for a £100 voucher instead of throwing it away? Or if you don't like the M&S vouchers, wait for another switching offer?

I really wouldn't waste your time or sanity in phoning around call centres, a letter should do the trick but if you don't get a reply this is the email address I used to reach the CEO:

    niall.booker@cfs.coop

    Thanks all

Emailed to the above email id gently pointing out the cashback has not been paid for a switch made on Feb 27th and also would like a compensation - got a reply a day later saying the matter has been passed forward and two days later (today) £100 cashback plus £75 deposited in account!

I agree with b_enji- dont bother with phones - just send a polite email to the above id.

Is the Co-op universally incompetent or is it only trying to avoid paying the £100 switching bonus to people who don't look like they are using their new account in anger?

Has anyone actually managed to get their £100 on time?

I have recently switched to get the £100 (last week) and it seems I will have to fight for it...
