Matt
Switch date during last week in February – 800.00 credited 1 March – Three visits to Branch, second visit was on 26th April when switching team agreed that I was entitled to 100.00 payment and that it would be made within 7 working days – Third visit to Branch today when they said after sending a email there is no more that they as a Branch can do.
I will be posting a letter of complaint on Saturday regarding breaking its promises, failing to meet its offer T+C and not treating all its customers fairly, have asked for 100.00 compensation in addition to 100.00 switch payment.

Switch completed 28/02, written complaint made 50 calendar days later and today received two credits of £100 - not sure if one of these is for compensation following the complaint, or just a mistake. Will wait and see what their response letter says."Kids respect landlords. I think it's the keys."0

When switching to the Coop, do they automatically close your old current account?

TIA.
Yes. All banks participating in the new scheme do.

CongratsAlmost wished it didn't go so well for me. My £100 was late, but received it immediately after one call.

Thanksbut in all honesty I'm half expecting them to claw the second payment back as an error! The call centre staff had no idea what this was for, and the relevant department were closed.

£800 paid in on 24th Feb, switch completed 3rd March. £800 also paid in on 21st March. Not all switched out on same day. Still nothing, wrote to them after 45 days (T&Cs state calendar days) and two weeks later have heard nothing, have written again logging a complaint and giving them 7 days before I write again to CEO. Terrible service plus incompetence re getting incentive paid, I like many will be . I luckily closed Halifax Reward account last year and hadn't had the incentive so will switch from Coop to Halifax to get their £100 as soon as this is sorted!0

I got a double credit when I opened my "Britannia" branded account and they failed to pay the joining bonus. I got the £100 credited after complaining, then got £50 compensation, and some point later the £100 again.
They've messed up again with the full current account switch but have just this weekend received my £100 plus £50 compensation.
I didn't want the sodding compensation, just a smooth switch and the incentive they promised - it's frankly no wonder the company is in the gutter at the moment if they can't organise a simple switching incentive!
If I wasn't on the verge of taking out a mortgage I'd switch away today...0 -
Looks like they've realised the mistake - taken both credits back and just deposited £50 compensation, with the switching incentive still missing! Call centre staff have no idea what's going on, supposed to be getting a callback from their specialist department tomorrow..."Kids respect landlords. I think it's the keys."0
