Opened my account over the phone last monday, just phoned up to check the progress hoping all would be well, still another 7 days to go, apparently their switch doesn't start on the day the account is opened.

(did anyone get a text to confirm?)

I got the intro texts - but no text to confirm completion of switch. I assume it's been done, and have moved my £800 none the less :)

Can you set up weekly standing orders with a co-op bank account?

When I applied for the switch I got a letter and a bunch of texts, however there was nothing to confirm the swich did complete as expected yesterday (did anyone get a text to confirm?) I don't want to send the £800 until I am sure it won't have to be done again.

Looks like there is little chance of getting the £100 in time to use this as a donor account for the post office switching offer that runs to the end of March :(

My switch was completed on 14/02. Me and my wife received a letter stating switch completed. After that I tfrd £800 to my account and my wifes account.

I will keep all the letters until £100 been paid.

It looks like it. In fact the options for standing orders are:
    weekly
    fortnightly
    monthly
    quarterly
    yearly
    half-yearly
    4 weekly
    bi-monthly

Is it necessary to transfer the £800 and leave it there until the £100 has been paid? It says in the terms stating that the account has to be credited with £800, but not if it's necessary to retain that in the account.
