I asked whilst on the phone setting up the switch process.
Assuming you've already registered to switch, you'll probably need to call to register for online banking. If not, register at the time you request the switch.
Be warned they'll ask for your security details and pin over the phone.
No one asked for my pin! I just phoned them up and set up IB , however I doubt I'll stay with them for very long!0 -

You need the pin to log onto internet banking, so I suspect it it hasn't been set up correctly.0 -
To clarify, it is a seperate pin/memorable number for internet access, not your card pin0

Then you must have a pin? Is that correct?0 -
I don’t have my PIN yet but was able to set up my IB details by telephone today. They don’t ask for the PIN but ask you for a 4 digit security number which you will remember.
“To ensure that we validate your personal details securely, we ask that you speak to one of our friendly advisers to register.
Simply call us on freephone 0800 590 483^. Lines are open 24 hours a day.
You will be asked to provide:
A 4 digit security code.
5 pieces of secure personal information.
An e-mail address.
We will then send you a Card Reader to authenticate your online transactions, adding an extra level of security to your online identity.
Our Terms and conditions will tell you everything you need to know before you use our Personal Internet Banking service”

Correct.
If only anyone would read what is being posted here. People seem to still be determined to confuse the security number for online access with their card PIN.0 -
