iPad Air for £338.99, BUT...

... Should I avoid as it's being sold via Mighty Deals???

Any advice would be much appreciated!

  • Sounds like warranty problems, would be the least of their worries!

  • I purchased 3 vouchers costing a total £810 for an Ipad Mini and have received the vouchers but there was no redemption link included and no further rules or guidance. I am left with no Ipads and no support.

I have 5 days before the money back guarantee expires yet no one answers the phone or responds to email.

I want to complete the purchase of the ipad mini's but cant.

As far as I am concerned I have paid a significant amount of money to a faceless organisation with no customer service. If I don't hear from them within the next 24 hours I will report the transaction to my bank and trading standards. I am surprised Martin Lewis put his name to this poor company!

  • I paid for an iPad mini for my daughters 10th birthday as a special gift as we have had a very traumatic year so far and felt she deserved something extra special for being such a brave little girl. On trying to redeem my voucher on 11/04/2014 I was told my voucher had expired on 09/04/2014!!! On my voucher the claim dates printed stated 25/03/2014 to 15/04/2014!! I've used their useless ticket system to find out what's they intend to do but have not had a reply! I I am feeling really frustrated and upset that my little girl won't be getting her iPad for her birthday!! As a single mother I'm now unable to even afford another gift as Mighty Deals have my money!!! What can I do???

So I took advantage of this deal when it came up 2 months ago - I am yet to receive the iPad Mini (Retina Display 64GB 4G in Space Grey)

Customer service has been OK and they even phoned me off the back of a support ticket I raised!

However last week they said everyone was have delay problems but the iPads would be sent out by Tuesday (2 days ago)... It's now Thurs and still nothing. Might have to call it a day and request the refund I was offered.

Customer service was pretty good - got an instant full refund and £15 Mighty Deals Cash as a gesture of goodwill. (Got a free AA Tyre Pressure out with it!) but won't be using them again as I've had to chase every order and the iPad looked like it would never arrive!

Apple warranty is quite straightforward. Ipads or Minis that are wifi only have a worldwide warranty. Ipads or Minis with a sim card are warrantied in the country they are produced for.

I thought about the mighty deals offer a few months back but chose to buy through Simply Electronics which was slightly cheaper as I paid by credit card for s75 cover (not sure you get this with mighty deals as you are actually purchasing a voucher and not the item itself). I had a few issues with Simply Electronics but did get the ipad 11 working days after the order.

Having read previous issues with mighty deals I'm surprised anyone continues to use them.
