Didn't get a chance to post yesterday but now have 2 more SFD's to report. LTW has gone down the pan this week but no actual cost as I have a prepaid catering card at work.
Tomorrow will be a spend day as I need to buy 2 newspapers for the Aldi voucher so that OH and I can do our main monthly shop on the weekend. I have split the shopping list into 2 and we will each use a £5 off coupon. This makes the 30 mile round trip as economical as possible :money:
Off to read the last day or so on here before bed
Nite nite all
Chez xThat money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"0 -
we got paid today so I have put the money off to various places, paid the bills, debts, etc. The saving account has been boosted and enough put aside to cover the mortgage next month, so things are looking good, for now!Seriously money saving0

Well done clippy and £ashcow on paying off so much.
Today was SFD number 13 and LTW day number 13. Should meet targets by the end of the week although have just read CEW's post about the Ald! voucher, so may lose a SFD tomorrow.
Walked the dogs, so that is my exercise. Poste eB4ay parcels, so that is another £3.16 made and did tutoring, so that's another £25
Hope you've all had a good day, off to read what I've signed up to for the March challenge.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi Thrifty - we rug doctor our carpets at least once a year - tend to get it from Johnsons dry cleaners but you may need to book - if you collect on a sat you can keep it till monday as ours isn't open on a sunday. Homebase and morrisons do them but being open on sundays you only get it for one day rather than two for the same price. We also tend to take out the loyalty scheme with johnsons when we hire it which gives discounts off duvet cleaning and stuff like that and is reasonably cost effective. They work brilliantly for us - make sure you get the upholstrey tool to do stairs etc - we use the shampoo and the traffic lane cleaner. When you use it have an old towel handy as when you stop pulling the machine across the floor it tends to dribble - always shocks me how much gunk comes out - make sure DH is in charge of the cleaning as they are flippin heavy machines!! Loving the extreme nesting - have you defrosted the freezer and cleaned the oven yet - those were always the last two jobs on my list!! Be careful!! Love LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130

Chez, what are the Aldi vouchers? I have an Aldi nearby and have heard people mention the vouchers before, but which paper and whats it worth? Thank you0 -
LAGL thanks for the advise. Will def try one maybe Sunday to Monday and OH can assist. No the oven isn't cleaned yet, lol. Off from next week and got a list, like kitchen stone floor scrubbing and weeding etc. Might even move things along, lol.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

*hangs head in shame* Bought chocolate at the theatre. More money out of March's budget before the month's even started.
Need to work on my meal planning for next month. What do people use for this? Do you just write it all out on a calendar-type page? Any spreadsheet users? I'm wondering about a whiteboard in the kitchen, means I could adapt it for YS additions without lots of crossing out!New graduate trying to get debt-free.

- 13/15 SFD
- £261.26/£280 food budget
- £230/£260 petrol allowance
- 18/20 LTW
- 1/1 lunch out with dh for valentines day.
- 0/0 takeaways, coffee shops etc
- £3/£3 local food bank
- £0/£10 beauty spends
Should have two more SFD so will make target after all and lunches are already bought and will be taken in today and tomorrow. Had a small top up on my food shopping last night with bread, milk and salad, but still within my monthly spend.
Need to do an inventory of freezers and cupboards and do the meal plan for next month. Will do a small start up shop at the beginning of the month using aldi and sainsbugs vouchers but nothing else as I really want to run my freezers down for cleaning.0
