ha! good plan
although i imagine i'd just end up wihh jumpers with really short arms cos they'd all shrink in the wrong ways :rotfl:
NSD out of the window i'm afraidended up incafe for lunch cos couldn't find a bench to sit down on, but decided to claim that on expenses
but then had a tough afternoon with no tea so i'm afraid icaved in and got one - thought of 2 hour train journey without was too much after today...
so £1.75 to declare for today but that should be the end of it.0 -
Hey Cheery,
Thanks for the suggestions - i should have said i have no means of warming food up at work though
I am actually having leftovers tomorrow :T i do have leftovers when i eat alone but when my Mr is here he snaffles all the remaining food
I was reading your post about clothes and its sounded as though you may need a little clear out of clothes too? I only say this as i had decluttered so many things and then was going out the other day and looked at some of my things and really thought 'well if they aren't making the cut at all for this night out they can go' With other things i just seem to have fallen out of love with them as i put them on and then change as i';m not happy with *something* Its good in a way as it means i am keeping what i love and will wear and am decluttering :T But rubbish in another way as i now look at things and think 'will i love this forever or just the 1 wear' and its hard to decideLooking forward to hearing all about your new purchases
Well done on your nsd :T
Have you any cheery plans for easter?CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
no easter plans really, bike ride with pals tomorrow and might pop to my mum's on sunday but that's it.
i do indeed need a clothes clearout! i get changed SO many times, especially when deciding what to wear for work as none of it feels right, and today i'm actually wearing my one going out posh dress for work cos icouldn't make anything else look right! gah!
pah to not being able to heat stuff up. I do often eat leftovers cold though, it's just a bit less fun
I confess i have a trick to stop us mindlessly munching leftovers - when i dish up, i dish up two plates AND my tupperware tub for lunch...that way any leftovers in the pan are actually leftover, and we're less likely to swipe it out of my tupperware cos then it's more like actual *stealing* :rotfl: helps if you put tupperware in a different part of the kitchen too
if anyone wants it, theycan swap it for a fiver ao you can buy lunch the next day
havig said that, last night i didn't bother with much so today i have just brought 3 quorn sausages (plus usual assortment of yogurt, fruit, cereal bars etc):rotfl: mind you, i'll get booted out of the place i'm going to for an hour and a half at lunhtime so will go to a cafe and claim expenses instead
might try for another NSD today :j :j i'm getting quite into it now, although i've still only managed two this monthcertainly.making me think twice though - i picked up a pair of running shorta in aldi yesterday then put them back when i got to the till. (daft really as i'll need a pair at some point and tjey were probably the cheapest i'll find! oh dear!!)
might try starting 'sub£2' days... since most of my NSD days are foiled by somethig tiny, and then i feel i've ruined it and often end up spending more... maybe sub2 as a stepping stone??
or is that cheating?:rotfl:

oh dear, it's all gone super wrong today!!
spent 3 hours travelling for work, but when i got there they weren't expecting me and wouldn't let me in!
went away amd rang colleague who rang up to sort it out (it's her project) while i cried in the toilets for half an hour(not awfully professional! but it's been a long and draining couple of weeks, yesterday was difficult and i'm not good with being told off at the best of times...)
so spent £3 on a cuppa and caramel slice trying to regain some self respect :rotfl:
then had to leave at lunchtime and nowhwre to eat so back into cafe where i asked for a receipt but didn't get one, and didn't click til too late.
so that's another £4 on lunch
then tram was delayed, next one didn't go where i wanted so ended up on a cold and raintyplatform in a foul mood for AGES, then eventually pegged it to station and leapt on train with a moment to spare :j (that bit was a relief!)
celebrated with a twirl - another 90p
mr cheery offered to pick me up from station but quite frankly wafer the day i've haf, work will be paying for a taxi..
best to draw a line under today i think!! :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Aw Cheery - what a cr*p day you've had!
And I was minded of you too today! I knew that I was going to spend some £ on food bits for the weekend. But whilst over that neck of the woods, I had a spare few moments to wander into the local discount barn.... and promptly spotted a pair of trainers, in my size and sufficiently bonny enough to purchase! Whilst I did check that they fitted etc, I spent less time debating their purchase because I wasn't ruining a NSD! :rotfl:I mean, my current pair of trainers are on their last legs, and this will be the first time in years that I've not wandered round in 'holey' footwear before being able to replace in, but still!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope your evening is much more comfortable, and that you've dried your tears. Nothing worse than botch-ups that are not your fault
Have a wonderful weekend - bike ride sounds spiffing

:hello: hi Greying
How lovely that you have a pair of cheery non-holey trainers! :j :j :j What fun
:rotfl: at you not ruining a NSD day though
Well I rounded my day off with an 89p crunchie, which I generously shared with Mr CheeryHome alone now and kind of wishing I'd bought another one just for myself
:rotfl:
Off to update signature before I forget...0 -
Right, sig updated to £101 - not too bad... 13 days left, that's £7.61 a day by my reckoning - surely that's doable with no major purchases planned!
Gah - a bit's just come off my tooth   I HATE things going wrong with my teeth  Always feels like some kind of moral failingTo be fair this was kind of a temporary crown thing and the dentist did say we'd have to see how long it lasted - since before Christmas I think so not tooooooo bad. Had to be just before a !!!!in bank holiday though didn't it! What with work travel and whatnot I'm not going to be able to go to dentist til next Friday now
DEFINITELY drawing a line under today now :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Right, just done a small amount of budget fiddling...
Not yet got round to cancelling standing order from one of Mr Cheery's accounts to the other so have had to transfer another £500 into there to make sure it doesn't go overdrawn again.
Also I'm owed £83 of expenses (and more after today!) so part of my spending money has come from the joint account, which is now looking a bit sparsetopped up with £50 from savings (temporarily til I can replace with expenses money) cos I'm not sure what else needs to come out of there and when...
Which reminds me I apparently need to download the new banking app!0 -
Cheery. I'm sorry your day was so awful. Hope you'll feel better after a good sleep.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

i do indeed starnac, thank you! All thoughts of yesterday gone and i've had a lovely day today - i'm never glum for long! :j
cycled 12 miles in the sunshine with some pals today :j lovely day
very mse - i got up early and made a quick picnic (all slimming world free stuff too :j :j ) so when we stopped i only needed to by a cup of tea (from treats busget anyway). good job i made so muh - pals hadn't taken anything and tea van had very poor lunh selection!
lots of tea bought today - 2 cups in the pub waiting for friends to arrive, then another at the tea van, then another one each near the end!! so 8 quid on tea but all from treats budget :j could have been muh worse if i'd not made picnic!
also bought deodorant and toothpaste from my budget so £2.50 to declare today, but that's likely to be it now :j
might have a little snooze if the bloke over the road ever stops drilling... :rotfl: :rotfl:0
