That's an ACE way of putting it, thank you starnac! Exactly like a 'membership fee' :j So yes, allocated in advance and in a separate pot. Will do that as of today, meaning i might just get away with a NSD tomorrow :j :j :j0

Just been to Slimming World, and lost 3lbs :j :j :j Quite pleased since I put 3.5lbs ON over holidays so I'm now nearly back down to what I was before
:rotfl:
Spent £2 on a magazine and £4 on cereal bars, and £1 on a raffle ticket...
... but I WON the raffle :j :j :j Rather excitingly, it's a giant bag of veg:j :j :j Leeks, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, parsnips, and a bag of spuds to add to our giant spud mountain :rotfl: Baked potatoes all round :rotfl:

Yay well done to 3lbs off. That's fab.
And yay to winning the raffle too. Sounds like a good prize too. :jGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
tis indeed -- she's had loads of people doing the raffle since she started doing a big bag of veg
checked bank today - bizarrely all is well :j got about fifty quid of work expenses to claim tomorrow, usualy paid pretty quick.
Aiming for a NSD tomorrow :money: got work travel to pay for and my meeting donation but they're in separate pots:j :j
spent a few hours cooking tonight, felt like hours of chopping, roasted a load of veg (then ate most of it...), cooked a giant pile of cauliflower then didn't fancy the sauce i made to go with it so i'm having that for lunch tomorrow with several of the tasty baked pakora things which are my new best friend (well, my new favourite lunch anyway) :rotfl:
fingers crossed for April NSD number 2 :j :j0 -
Yeah! To winning a great prize at the raffle :j I once won a food hamper - full of tins and packets of storecupboard stuff and i was delighted - saved me a fortune and i got to try some things i wouldn't have bought myself (fear of the expense if i didn't like it) and everyone else thought it was a rubbish prize as although there were a few chocolates in it alot of the hampers were chocolate ones etc. - Give me proper food any day
I'm trying to lose some weight Cheery but really struggle with cheap, easy lunches so have alot / too many sarnies - have you any suggestions for a good (filling) pack lunch ?

NSD going well so far! :j :j :j
i tend to take leftovers for lunchusually risotto or lasagne or hilli or curry or pasta bake or summat. we have a microwave in the office but i do than when i'm on fieldwork too and just eat it cold.
today i brought some pakpras i made from a slimming world recipe - just mixed mashed potatoes, onion, frozen veg (peas and carrots in my case...), couple of dollops of yogurt and couple of eggs then dollop it on trays and wang in oven for what felt like about 4 hours (but wad probably just 40 mins, my oven is crap and i was hungry! :rotfl: ) til they don't still look like mash inside :rotfl: :rotfl:
oh, and curry powder toonew favourite thing, i made loads and have some left for tomorrow too :j :j :j reckon they'd freeze well too. i made a kind of tomatoey sauce to go wih them, they were a bit dry otherwise (and i would have still been hungry). Good stuff
don't think i've ever taken an actual sandwich to workk! :rotfl:
i always take a couple of little yogurts too, and a cpuple of bits of fruit and at least one cereal bar - but then i'm usually out for at least 12 hours and do NOT like to find myself hungry!!
does that help?0 -
:j :j :j :j
i made it
just updated sig to £90 spent and 2nd NSD of april :j :j :j :j
pretty easy actually, despite a fair bit of travel, and i was so tired i didn't go to meeting this evening so didn't even spend allocated donation
been thinking though... i'm struggling with clothes at the minute. i've lost just over 1.5 stone in last few months and most stuff is a little big now, and i have an odd wardrobe filled with stuff that doesn't go...
I mostly land up wearing one pair of jeans (now a bit saggy), and 2 main skirts - one velvet and one corderoy, neither of which are very summery. I've got plenty of other stuff, but i keep putting it on and taking it back off again:rotfl:
so probably time for a tiny spending spree...all charity shop i imagine
couple of long skirts for spring days when it's too warm for tights but too cold for bare legs. Maybe a pair of better fitting jeans, and maybe a pair of trousers i can wear for work.
and of course it's the start of The Everlasting Sandal Quest again... :rotfl: :rotfl: actually last year's were ace and after buying a pair new i found the same pair in a charity shop so bought them too, so between them they'll do most occasions i think
i think i need something between sandals and the fleece lined cowboy boots i'm in at the minute though...
oh dear, i never was any good at this clothes business!!0 -
You always look EXTREMELY good at this clothes business to me lovely! :T
Great work on the NSD front too - I've not got a clue how many I've achieved this month - but considering camera-spending has reached epic proportions it's a bit irrelevant anyway!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

aiming for another NSD today :j :j got lunch packed (more pakoras and a bit of leftover risotto - odd combination!) and a flask of tea for thre train amd i'm at a tea party all morning so should be too full of cake to want anything on the way home :rotfl:0 -
:j to NSD #2 well done on the weight loss too! That's fab. Kind of a shame clothes don't shrink too! Can you not put them all in the washing machine on a hot wash and hope for the best??Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
