:hello: hi all
Very pleased with myself this evening having managed to rustle up an entire bowlful of colourful and tasty salad from the garden:j :j :j 5 teensy radishes I grew myself :j and a bit of rocket and lettuce that had bolted, plus some, er, weeds that I identified as hairy bittercress and herb robert :rotfl: Don't sound too tasty but they were :j
Trying to keep track of everything I harvest, so I dutifully weighed it all and costed according to a price of 'nice' supermarket bagged salad (which wouldn't have been half so nice) - seems I saved myself a grand total of 46p :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Off out to the pub now to spend it - might buy me half a bag of crisps I suppose :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

I'm sure you've saved yourself about 50p now haven't youjoking. It's always nicer when it's home grown as not only do you get the satisfaction of "I grew this" but you know exactly how it was grown and treated etc.

Quite right starnac
Just £1.30 so far today :j and I hope to keep it that way!
Off out for lunch with some pals tomorrow - will try to keep that out of the treats budget0 -
Just popping in to update the signature to £75 (cannot be ar*ed to keep track of actual pennies on her
)
Been out for a nice sunny (free :money: ) bike ride this morning :j :j Just watching other people be athletic in the London marathon now :rotfl:0 -
Well done on not rounding up far too tedious.

thank you lovely lass, it was indeed very tasty!
not much to declare today - £2 meeting donation and 79p on some reduced baklava :$ had lunch out with mr cheery and some pals but that came from separate treats budget
need to have a think about donations - quite often it's them that scupper my NSDs! I often find myself thinking 'well i can't have a NSD because of the meeting tonight so i might as well buy...' which kind of isn't the point, is it?:rotfl:
might just put £10 or £15 worth of pound coins in a separate pot at start of month and only use for that and not count as part of my cheery spendsI reckon that'd get me an extra 5 NSDs a month potentially...
might sound daft but it probably would have stopped me buying that highly unnecessay baklava today... :rotfl: :rotfl:
won't be a NSD tomorrow - got a parcel to post and then slimming world, not got back wagon after holidays (and spent whole of today eating baklava...) so going to stay to meeting, buy raffle ticket and new magazine etc and give myaelf a good kick up the backside0 -
Didn't renew my gym membership - for Jan-March I paid £80 and only used £20 worth of swimming/classes. I did use the treadmill quite a bit, but the weather's nicer now and I decided for the sake of saving £60 I could run outside!
So this morning I went for a sploosh in the swimming pool which cost me a grand total of £3 :j and bought a swimming cap for £2 - never had one before and looked a right idiot but saved a bit of time not having to wash my hair! :j0 -
Just updated signature to £83 - it soon adds up!

I agree with your idea of putting your meeting money in a separate pot. I mean it's not like you are throwing the money away is it on things you don't need? You get a lot out of the meetings and you would go anyway regardless of whether it would spoil a NSD. You could maybe count it as a bill. Sort of a fee like your slimming world membership.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
