Lots of travelling today for the fieldwork? Lots of goodies to take with you, yay! Enjoy2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks greying
and yes kc, fieldwork travelling today, now on the last train, just the little local bus to go :j should be home by 6, pretty early for me! :j
done well on the spending front - nothing so far! :money: just bus fares (from work travel budget, not flogging myself to walk 5 miles to and from station on top of everyhing else!) and taaxis (claimable).
will need to pick up milk for tonight's meeting and make a small donation but that was allowed for in the budget so all good :j
oh, except stupid new car... which apparently now has 4 new tyres as the old ones had distorted through being sat still for too long - who knew that was even a thing?? so it turns out i wasn't entirely being ridiculous when i said it sounded like it had octagonal wheels... :rotfl: :rotfl:
another £200 and hopefully that's the blitherin end of it!! :rotfl:0 -
£2.50 yesterday for milk and donation, not bad.
£3.72 today for stamps (which i've been meaning to get for ages!). Also need a couple of emergency birthday cards which at this point will have to be supermarket ones (i refused to pay £4.29 in the train station  ).
Off to the theatre tonight to see friend in a show - already paid for and joint treats budget will pay for drinks etc.
have brought lunh and a flask of tea again today :j but will need some tea before the theatre - just noodles in wetherspoons i think, not too bad...
need to add yeaterday and today to sig0 -
Good grief at the octagonal wheels - see, you can trust your senses!
Spends yesterday sound brilliant, and very promising todayhave a lovely time at the theatre

I didn't know tyres could do that!! Hope that's the last of your car related expenditure.

so - £3 for birthday cards, and theatre-related expenses (about 6 quid in total) come from joint treats fund :j
Was doing ok today -brought lunch and a flask and had no plans to spend anything else - but we didn't get offered a cup of tea ALL DAY on fieldwork today  no tea!! so it was an advanced state of emergency by the time we got back to the station
so that's £2.20 for a cuppa and a twirl:rotfl:
and then we got on the train and only realised when we ran out of seats that we were actually in first class!! :j :j :j so have now hd a FREE cup of tea and a couple of macaroons and starting to feel close to normal again :rotfl:
(should point out that work do NOT usually pay for first class! these were fairly last minute and0 -
oops, silly phone!
anyway, must have been the cheapest ticket left but i'm not complaining :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
bit extra to declare
3.30 last night for gin
then a bit pf a spendy one today, whisked a friend off for a wee child free adventure before half term starts
£16 for lunch and tea and cake
£6 card and pressie for pal who just had baby
£6 hair dye and shampoo
£2 for gingery sweets for newly pregnant pal :rotfl:
hmm, must update sig, been posting on phone all week and have no idea where i'm up to!0 -
Right - signature updated and £73 of cheery spends fund spent already this month in just the last 6 days  Included race entry, workshop fee and treating a pal to lunch so not all frittering but even so!
Out tonight and will probably have a little drink. Out all day tomorrow but should be cheap, just a small donation and maybe the raffle (although I always win something I don't want (if I win at all) but that's kind of not the point!) Will try to make it a low spend weekend even if not a NO spend one...
Next week looks like this:
Mon 14th - working at home then slimming world = NSD??
Tues 15th - office then al anon = £2 donation
Wed 16th - fieldwork - NSD??
Thurs 17th - fieldwork - NSD??
Fri 18th - meeting a pal for a cuppa - might invite her here to do some sewing
Sat 19th - no plans
Sun 20th - no plans (really, all weekend?? How very unusual! :rotfl: )
I'll be VERY annoyed with myself if I can't manage this, I really will!!0 -
