Thanks for that maths RT
:j :j Fortunately the £4 is guaranteed, and I'll get at least SOME of the extra £1.50 so all good :money:
Not spent anything today :j At a work event most of this week in a posh hotel (not staying over) so all food provided, and in fact they provided a fried egg butty for breakfast, but I'd already had mine, so I saved it and have just had it for tea :money:0 -
Hee hee - so is that tea as on dinner or tea as in tea? (for those of us across-the-pond inclined?)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0

I'm constantly confused anyway :rotfl:
Waving from New Mexico. :wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:Overprepare, then go with the flow.

:rotfl: you pair :rotfl:
tea as in tea, but food tea, not a cup of teaI confess I'm a bit of a hybrid, grew up having dinner and tea, and now sometimes I have lunch and dinner, or occasionally lunch and tea, or sometimes just to confuse everyone, dinner and then dinner
:rotfl:
Just tried to replace headlight in the car - seems there's no easy way to do it so off to ring the garage first thing tomorrow
Also bought some reduced stuff on the way home tonight so that's 5p on the rewards thingy in the bank :money:Surprising how cheerful that 5p makes me :rotfl:

Just filled in a questionnaire for some research - it was asking how much trouble I have with my various joints doing various tasks. One of the questions was asking about problems with hands and wrists, and one of the activities I had to rate was 'using bathroom tissue' :rotfl: :rotfl: That's the nicest way of putting 'wiping your backside' I've seen in a long time :rotfl: At least I assume they weren't meaning 'using bathroom tissue' to blow your nose, or wipe round the sink :rotfl:0

Evening chums :hello:
Car booked into garage first thing tomorrow :j Should be able to do it while I wait, which is good as I have a meeting at 9am so need to get to the garage then drop the car back home before 8.30 :eek:
Used debit card TWICE today so that's another 10p added into the pot :money: :rotfl:
Offset that by being 2 minutes late for the 30 mins free parking at the station, meaning I had to pay £3 for an hour, when I'd only been there for 32 mins :eek: Couldn't be helped though.
SO tiredwoke at 5.30 as I knew I had to get up early to the station and couldn't go back to sleep. But I have been to B&Q and bought undercoat, and it'll take me less than half an hour to get it on the cladding by the bed, then I'll be able to put the top coat on at the weekend and move back in early next week :j :j Ooh, now that's an exciting thought :j
Also, transpires Mr Cheery is having a band practice here tomorrow afternoon, so I might do a teensy bit of tidying up (not that they'll care, but it'll make me feel slightly more like a civilised human being:rotfl: )
Right - timer is being set, 30 mins painting, 15 mins tidying, and then I'm going to SLEEP!0 -

Isn't that classified as an oxymoron?!?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Quite possibly
:rotfl:
Irrelevant anyway as I never got round to it :rotfl: (although I did manage to hoover the bathroom)
Car taken to garage, fixed and brought home again by 8.30am :j £8 and it turns out it's not difficult at all, I just wasn't pulling hard enough (mainly because the thing I was pulling, i didn't know if it was meant to come off or not!)
Still, I watched him do it and should be able to do it myself next time :j
Completely forgot about bringing lunch to work today as it's been provided all weekso I'm going to have to go out and acquire some :eek:will try to use debit card to get my 5p :rotfl:

Evening MSE chums :hello:
Saturday night alone (again) so another list :j :j
Not sure how much else I'm going to get done, so I'm going to cheat and add in stuff I've already done:rotfl:
* [STRIKE]bought topcoat paint for the bedroom cladding[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE] took 4 giant bags woodchip out of the car[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]put loads of plasterboard and the old compost bin in the car for tip in the morning[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]weeded path by back door[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]put wood filler in the cladding where Mr Cheery hammered the nails in[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]45 mins on the phone to mum[/STRIKE]
So, still to go (and as usual, not sure how much I'll actually get done:rotfl: )
* put filler down the side of the cladding (not sure where this type of filler is though... possibly cellar??)
* tidy bedroom :eek: currently clothes mixing with DIY mixing with unpacked bags mixing with goodness knows what :eek:
* hoover bathroom
* tidy attic
* change sheets
* hoover attic
Tomorrow...
* take stuff to the tip
* undercoat over the bits I put filler on today
* remove shower
* tile behind shower
* plaster round bathroom window (that'll be all the bathroom walls plastered then!)
* possible nip to local festival thing
* meeting in evening
Suspect I won't be able to do plastering AND festival so might depend on the weather... :rotfl:
Anyway - concentrate on this evening's list!0 -
You have things really moving along. You will be back in your bedroom very soon. :j
I'm trying to do a meal plan but I'm not too inspired. Did clean out the fridge and cut up a cantaloupe to serve with dinner.
Ugh! Looking at my bills! Not inspired there either.
We did get the empty rental rented this morning and tenant has a steady job at the hospital and two kids every other weekend. No pets but I have to talk to her about not smoking inside. She is signing a year lease so I'm happy about that.Overprepare, then go with the flow.
