Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

Funnily enough RT... came across one of Mr Daffs' sets of overalls earlier...
(goodness knows why he's got several - he's a musician for goodness sake!) :rotfl: I'm thinking overalls, wellies (cos I never get much of an excuse to wear my wellies :rotfl: ) and... that might be it
Although I did find a rather fetching straw hat so I'm thinking more 'farm hand' type thing now
Might take a shovel too :rotfl:

Bath is run and cooling, and I'm NEARLY ready to get in it :j :j Gosh, I've done SO much today!!
- attic is clean and tidy - I'll do more 15 min decluttering sessions in there over the weekend but it's dusted and hoovered, and all the boxes are at least round the edges so I can get at the sewing machine etc :j :j Spare bed is clean and made ready for my mother coming in a couple of weeks :j
- our bed changed, bedroom dusted and hoovered, some of Mr Cheery's clothes put away... New (probably temporary, once Mr Cheery catches sight of it) net curtain fitted, so at least the neighbours can't see in
- bathroom clean and hoovered. Bath run, and once I'm out, I'll do the sealant while the water is still in there :j
- downstairs clean and tidy, and I've just brought the hoover down to run round too
- washing away, and bedding now in washing machine
Doesn't look like much now I've written it down:rotfl: But it's taken me quite a lot of effort!
Mostly the attic to be fair, it was a right old tip and I had to move furniture etc too.
Right - hoover downstairs then a nice soak :j and then I've found a crochet shawl pattern so I can find a nice film and sit in front of that too :j :j0 -
Morning chums :hello:
Hope you're all jolly. It's FREEZING here - had to scrape ACTUAL SNOW off the car yesterday and the road was like an ice rink! Gah!!
REALLY enjoying this weekend :j :j Had a cosy day in the house on Friday (then party), yesterday I was out in the morning, then sewing bunting at a friend's house in the afternoon, then a cosy night in with Mr Cheery :j and a cosy morning in pottering today before visiting a friend then hopping to a meeting this afternoon :j Nice and cheery
So - today is Day 13 of flylady babysteps for meand I must say I'm noticing a REAL difference :j :j Just doing the dishes every night (which I'm pretty sure most people do anyway, I'm just idle
:rotfl: ) makes SUCH a difference in the morning - and then makes me wash breakfast dishes too cos I don't want to make the sink mucky
I've had a whole week of doing 15 mins a day in the attic, and surprisingly it looks LOADS better and i've washed the sheets ready for my mum's visit and everything! :j This week we're moving into the main bedroom  which has plenty that needs doing  so I'm hoping that'll look better soonNot finished, but better
Anyway today...
MORNING ROUTINE
- dressed to shoes - tick(well, crocs
I count crocs as 'lace up shoes' at the weekend
As long as I can pop outside to put something in the bin in them, it works for me
)
- 2 min hot spot (I'm actually having to be more creative to find these! Yesterday I even took four pairs of shoes upstairs that were hiding under a chair :rotfl: )
- 5 mins room rescue (might tackle some of the decorating paraphenalia in the bedroom  )
- 15 mins declutter - will do that in the attic, then leave it alone :j
BEFORE BED
- shine sink
- clothes for tomorrow (and work bag and lunch - I'm in the office tomorrow so early start)
- 2 mins hot spot
Sunday is apparently 'renew your spirit day'So as soon as I've put the sealant round the bath, I'm goin to curl up with my crocheting and an episode of The Waltons for an hour
:rotfl:

Morning :hello:
Well that was a lovely weekend! :j :j And I'm now at the start of the working week, with only 16 more working days to go :j
Starting well with a rather-too-leisurely breakfast and then a manic hurtle down the road to the train :rotfl: Quite hot now, and in a train carriage with a defect that is causing a bizarre high pitched whistle whenever we speed up :rotfl:
Sadly I think I'm currently to sweaty to go and sit next to anyone else:rotfl: and fortunatley this train goes at quite a leisurely pace... :rotfl:
So - flylady day 14 (I hope you don't mind me keeping track of this here, it really helps!)
Continuing with routines as normal today, and was instructed to read an essay about using a calendar this morningFortunately something I'm pretty good at, although a lot of people that seem not to be!
Reminded me that I bought a cheery new diary ready for new year and new job :j It has insects on :j :j Can't wait to start using it - it starts the week after I finish work
Today we move into the bedroom zone, and the mission is to spend 15 mins clearing under the bed  Although as I pointed out on Pippi's thread last time this mission came round, our bed is on aa mezzanine so technically the whole room is under it :rotfl: :rotfl: Going to get up there with the hoover one day and get down the sides of the mattress etc, but not today cos it'll be dark when I get back and it's all mood lighting up there :rotfl:
No spending planned today (cos I'd best say *something* about money :rotfl: ) except train to work. Very pleased that won't be lasting much longer!! :j :j0 -
morning lovely!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
morning lovely yourself!
Cakes at work again today  I mean, I love cake, but I've been back at slimming world 6 weeks and only lost 4lb!! :rotfl:0 -
:rotfl: It's a cake conspiracy Cheery! :rotfl:
So your 15 minutes under the bed can be anywhere in the room then! That makes it easier...well sort of! I'm sort of on board with the Flylady thing...I'm not working through the babysteps day by day as such as realistically I'm never going to be spending 30 minutes doing housework type things before going out at 7.30am four days in the week, but I am trying to take the principles on board and so far, as I knew it would - it IS working for me, too.
As for doing the dishes every night - no, if you're just idle then so am I (Like we didn't know that!). Until I started doing this again we didn't always even manage to get the plates to the dishwasher on a daily basis.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well clearly I don't do 30 mins of housework before going out at 7am  :rotfl: But it's getting me into the habit of washing breakfast dishes before I leave and not leaving a pile of chaos in my wake
everything else gets left for when I come back
And on days I'm out 7am- 7pm and again in the evening not much gets done at all :rotfl: Still try to keep sink shiny though and clothes out for next day, and doing 2 mins of hotspot clearing before bed (eg taking stuff up off table, clearing out a bag etc) helps too..
anything that helps is a bonus in my book! :j :j0 -
Progress not perfection, and all that
Is it dinner time yet? i'm not remotely hungry but bored of sitting in front of the computer pretending to work...:rotfl:
3 months is a LONG notice period...6 weeks down, 4 to go then 2.5 weeks off

Gosh, had a right sense of humour failure about work today!
 :rotfl:
Partly grumpy cos tooth still causing trouble  Back to dentist on Wednesday if no better!!
Anyway, Mr Cheery has gone out this evening, but I didn't fancy getting in after 12 hours out of the house, and going back out again within half an hour  Especially not as I'll be doing the same tomorrow. So I'm here alone with candles and peace and quiet :j :j
Spent the whole day being FREEZING so I have a cunning planI'm going to run a nice bath :j and then while it's cooling down (nope, still not fixed the cold tap :rotfl: ) I'm going to potter about for an hour or so (nope, can't figure out how to turn down the thermostat for the water either  ). On the list...
* 5 mins room rescue (attic - SO nearly in a presentable state now! :j :j )
* 15 mins decluttering (bedroom I think - going to delve into the wardrobe... )
* wash dishes and shine sink (Mr Cheery's done most so just our plates from tea :j )
* clothes and lunch packed for tomorrow
Any time left I'm going to spend working on my blog book for my mum's Christmas present :j I'm up to April already and this particular one is only running til September so it shouldn't take too long! :j
Wish I could remember where I put my knittingHad two balls of alpaca wool - started knitting one into a shawl but didn't like it. Put it down somewhere. Found a crochet pattern, couldn't find shawl to unravel so started with new ball. Have now nearly finished that ball but can't find the first one! Gah!
It's a hard life sometimes:rotfl: :rotfl:
